Idk why they haven’t done this yet, bc imo both those gens came out during the Pokemon’s first wave of popularity. There’s plenty of nostalgia to cash in on there, especially those who returned due to 151.
The problem with CZ is what product do you buy that takes up minimum space for storage long term? With no Booster Box I don't see a good solution to have sealed product that is densely packed that can appreciate without taking up a ton of room
I want to spend more time with Paldea evolved. I wasn’t into the hobby fully yet at that time. I agree with the the sets you have chosen. I guess at times it’s hard to hold on to these products or purchase now when you know you will be waiting 5-10 years for a decent return.
@@samersalama6275 I think you can definitely make a good return in 3-5 years especially if you buy a booster box. I can see a paldea box going for easily $400 in 5 years and if you piece out the packs you might be to able to sell the box closer to $500
Just got in the hobby last month. Learning every day and believe me I have seen a lot of videos before I bought the first boxes. Buying lots of Japanese booster boxes. What is your opinion on Japanese booster boxes compared to English booster boxes for long term hold?
Welcome to the hobby! English & Japanese are both solid. I think they will rise in similar styles. Although Japanese 151 is obviously ahead because of Masterball reverse holos.
I think evo skies and crown zenith are the best set in sword and shield. When a set is over printed like crown zenith, I think in that case picking up the rarest item from that set is the best bet you can take, the pokemon center ETB Plus. Beautiful box too :)
Eh I rather not invest in pokemon boxes right now. Not much of a sealed collector and due to them oversaturating the market its made sets less desirable over the past year or so. Compare it to One Piece and the rising popularity in it, it feels like Pokemon overall is on the decline. If I had to, I'd only invest in ES. My local target has maybe 20 etbs of CZ on the shelf right now. Fun to open but not worth buying when the top card is maybe 80 bucks. Its why everything is on the down. I can buy Charizard from OF for 50 bucks, so why bother buying anything at all other than the top chase cards. Pull rates are too high so the kinda screwed their own market. IMO I'm just buying all the chase cards I want. Cheaper than buying product and ripping packs. The market is so bad you can buy psa 9s for the price of raw cards.
People are nuts if they actually believe investing in a children’s card game will yield significant financial returns. It’s one thing to invest in a product hoping to get some sort of return in hopes of it becoming rare to hype up supply and demand and another to stubbornly hold long term and expecting life changing yields. Pokémon cards are not something like TRUE crypto utility assets (XRP, XDC) that has real world application and institutional adoption. For context, in the last 10 years of investing into precious metals, equities, crypto and real estate, I am now close to being debt free. You would never see such returns with Pokemon cards or even something like game collecting. There is just no way. I sincerely hope people are “investing” in Pokemon cards for fun knowing that even if they do yield profits, it would be negligible returns.
I have a lot to say on this topic, and you've just sparked the idea for my next video, so thank you! I will let you know once it releases. Would love for you to share your thoughts once it releases. Nonetheless, appreciate the comment.
Blah blah Pokémon has never depreciated in value, crypto is a huge Ponzi scheme, so many people got left holding bags and literally had to declare bankruptcy. Push your crypto narrative BS somewhere else.
If you buy a pack for 5 dollars and pull a card worth 20 then that’s some profit right there. It’s all a gamble at the end of the day. First edition Pokémon cards are worth thousands now but it’s not a guarantee that all prices for all cards will rise the same so like I said it’s a gamble.
Can we all agree we need a gen 2 and gen 3 equivalent to 151? It would be an easy money grab for Pokemon in my opinion.
That would be incredible
I wish they would. I'm not sure if they'd do it though, they never made Let's Go Johto 🥲
Idk why they haven’t done this yet, bc imo both those gens came out during the Pokemon’s first wave of popularity. There’s plenty of nostalgia to cash in on there, especially those who returned due to 151.
Yes. Give us Masterball holos too, or how about full arts with the original Base Set holo?
151 all the way! Best series I’ve had experience opening.
Yeah no one can deny how fun 151 is to crack open haha.
Great video. Would love to see you make a video showing all the product you own. Always interested in what/how much other UA-camrs are holding.
Great to hear you enjoyed the video. And thanks for the idea!
I like the content, keep it up :)!
Any thoughts on Crown Zenith vs Vstar Universe?
Both are great to be real. CZ is at a better price point to buy IMO!
I'm with you bro. I definitely need to load up on CZ while the getting is good. That set blends Gen 8 and Gen 4 so nicely!
100% its such an iconic set!

That is very true, ETB's are super bulky.
For that reason I prefer the V Star Universe booster box, which is the Japanese equivalent of CZ

Yeah it would definitely take a while to see return! Paldea Evolved was a great set imo.
Really depends what you consider a decent return. If you want to buy and sell or flip then do that. Investing is long term.
@@phillips.collectibles agreed. Maybe I can get some in a few months when I truly start investing.
@@MrAmadeus1998 no I’m referring to a 3-5 year hold.

The Crown Zenith Pokemon Centre ETB is straight up 🔥

Crown Zenith is one of the best sets of all time.
Fusion Strike selling for up to $300 a booster box now. Crazy.
Wild. It was normal price when I made this video.
@@phillips.collectibles
I just seen someone at a local trade show but it for $270. I wanted to tell him “no bro don’t do it!” Lol
251 and 351
Nah 151 is top right now.
I think in terms of its future its up there. But also its only available at retail price. Some of the others you can still get a deal on.

Look at previous sets. The returns are insane. People pay fir what people want

Crypto will crash again and again like ppl I knew lose everything 🤦🏻♂️but Pokemon will have a safe and better return in my opinion.

Well when the fusion strike pulls got stolen they probably resorted to that big ass card printer they have lying around
