- Hello it’s Who-Time and today we’re looking at something very special and unique: it’s a half-size Dalek! As in it’s half the size of a full size Dalek prop. It features a black and silver colour scheme much like the Dalek Supreme as seen in the 1988 classic ‘Remembrance of the Daleks’.
In this instalment, we’ll explore the half-size Dalek’s build-quality & its features as well as delve into the history of the company that made half-size Daleks - Daleks Direct Ltd (2000-2001)/Mutant Mouldings Ltd (2002-2005).

Hideously expensive and not particularly well made.
Oof!! More than a little jealous of this. They’ve got a nice red and silver one of these at the Who Shop in Upton Park (and a necros coloured one as well!)
Andrew Argyle is still active to this day making all sorts of full size Daleks, particularly the 80s Necros/Renegade/Supreme types even without licence, good for him on that really.
Sorry to hear about your Dalek Derek has been hit by the TPE curse, I've long time been annoyed by their poor quality standards, especially the NSD (bronze) ones they make with all those awkwardly rushed curved slats and poor finish.
When I went to buy my Dalek props I avoided them drastically and I'm all the happier for it with my two.
The Resurrection Supreme looks superb though, not sure why but those Necros shoulders really work on it for me.

Yeah TPE did let me down a bit. Will need to refurbish it over the summer.
Glad you like the Resurrection Dalek Supreme. He is a bit of a hodgepodge haha. I picked him up as a wreck and restored him myself. Always liked the black & white livery, so went with that rather than grey & black.

Are you considering to convert Derek into a Resurrection Drone? would look fab alongside the Supreme.
@@The_Prydonian Nice idea 💡 but I’ll stick with the Genesis aesthetic. Would seem a betrayal to Derek to change him for some reason haha.
@@who-time Not that you re likely to sell your dalek but it may be a good idea to keep those OG receipts. Remember what Antiques Roadshow always says. Provenance. The more proof the better.
@@tkps5079 I have actually sold it lol. I needed space and also cash towards my ever-growing Dr Who custom figure hobby haha. This video was a last hurrah for it. The guy, who bought it off me, apparently has 11 full-size Daleks, including an original on-screen Genesis Dalek signed by Terry Nation 😲
Very interesting. I dipped out on these Daleks as when I was in a better financial position to buy one, they were discontinued. Thanks for sharing.
No problemo. They very rarely come up for sale these days & will be more expensive naturally. If you have space for a full size Dalek, it’s better value for money.
They had a red Dalek in the movie version.
Interested that there's no seating inside to operate the Dalek.
Also wonder where those hundreds of Daleks are now?

I had 2 of these not long ago from Mutant Mouldings, wish I still had them.
Shame! Space comes at a premium & money is hard to get, so sometimes things have to go frustratingly. My half-size Dalek is now sold, as my mum is downsizing & I don’t have the space. I already have 2 full size Daleks anyhow. Think one of those may have to go alas.

Me or the Resurrection Supreme Dalek haha? I can promise I’m not constructed out of body parts from the graveyard. The Dalek on the other hand did have to be restored from a wreck & is technically a Remembrance Renegade Dalek underneath due to the higher skirt, then I re-painted it to look like a Dalek from a completely different story.
It's like watching a young Prince Charles talking about miniature Daleks! 😂 (and I mean mannerisms)
