- What plus one equals three? Confused? Well, the answer is two. Now you must be wondering how I got the answer. The word “what” used in the first statement is actually used as a variable. Variables are nothing but an assumed factor or a quantity that varies.
In maths when the question says “what” it is a formality to use a variable. A variable can be in the form of a letter or an alphabet. The most used variable you’ll encounter is “x, y, and z”. But you could use anything you wish.
In this video, you will learn what variables are and real-life examples.
