A great video of Ripleys’ Believe it or Not. Very interesting the part of medicine and the investigations in the lab. That is fascinating to say the least, very much so. An educational and informative video indeed, I enjoyed it. And it was good to see Jack Palance again , he was wonderful in these videos. 🙌👍👍🙌
At that time yes it was a fairly new concept, stock holder, employee & consumer...all the same person. Previously the average workers didn't own stock.
@@fromthesidelines until 1967 when it got a new opening and in 1973 an orchestral version until 1981 when this came out ua-cam.com/video/LjS5SpIKcvI/v-deo.html
Why is the past so enthralling and captivating when the present is so damn boring? There is simply too much talking and too much exposition today, the mystery of a thing is blasted away, back then; there was bits of info given allowing your mind room to ponder.
A piece of tv history preserved. Very good preservation Jeff, thanks.
I wish i could find the 1949-1950 series of this right before Ripley passed at 59 years old.
Wild! Never knew this existed. Watched the Jack Palance series as a kid.
Ripley always has good stories you can learn from.

A new "Ripley" series wouldn't be seen until 1982 {on ABC}- with Jack Palance as host.
Believe it or not!
And don’t forget, the early 2000s version hosted by Dean Cain 😊
On TBS (2000-'03).
Sweet video
Jack Palance was the greatest host ever. Believe it or not.
Globe title shot was used by the soap opera "As The World Turns" from 1956-1967.
Thank you 😊
When will all those "producers" get the meaning of the words "background music" ? Otherwise great stuff
Awesome picture quality compared to the much later 80s episodes,
Too cool.
The opening influenced that of "Mystery Science Theater 3000".
Strap-to-mice-in
Thanks for the vid🤔👨🏫👨🎓
The Chapel of Four Chaplains is in Philadelphia.
Cool !
I don't suppose you have the pilot from the 1994 series?
Owning stock in a business you work for and using their product or service was unusual enough for Ripley's?
At that time yes it was a fairly new concept, stock holder, employee & consumer...all the same person.

So an immigrant created streptomycin, awesome!
Immigrants have created many new products and businesses over the years
0:02- "And now, for the next 30 minutes......'AS THE WORLD TURNS'! Brought to you today by CRISCO- the ALL-VEGETABLE shortening."
That sequence of the spinning globe WAS used as the opening title for years.
