My dad died in 2018 and always made me this dish. Even though we are Persian, he never told me what it was called so I never knew what to look up to make it. Thank you for posting this ❤

My Dad made potatoes and onions and I love it. Never knew it was called Lyonnaise 😆 I just always called it Potatoes&Onion. Then he made sausage, onions, and mashed potatoes I didn't know it was called Bangers N Mash 😆I kind of know why he never told me the name of that one lol💞
Try frying the tomato paste before adding it to the stew! I also have a mason jar of advieh, which is just a bunch of different persian spices in bulk ratio. The turmeric makes that dish pop though.
@the winner I don't know what nonsense media tells the world about us, but as a Persian myself, I can confirm that no, we don't hate Jews, we don't hate anybody, we really just want the world to be at peace. And I imagine that's what people all around the world want as well, but unfortunately the TV has us believe that the people of this place hate the people of that place... it's the GOVERNMENT, not the people. No garlic and you had to pre-cook your yellow beans 🫘 and dispose the water otherwise you gheymeh will taste like abgosht and a bit of zaferan will help. For the 1st time it is fantastic 😍

Ok this is good BUT here are some tips. . Gheymeh needs to be a little bit more red so add more tomato paste. . Try cooking the lentils with the onions for beyter texture. . Gheymeh does not have garlic in it but you should add a little bit of ground cinnamon, safron and just a little bit of black pepper. It will do WONDER. . Last but not least. You guys should really try some traditional persian foods like isfahan's beryani and shirazi kalam polo.
