This is too important, it makes you highly competent with your chords and how scales can be get pulled in around them. If you cannot do this yet, do not sleep on it. One of the most valuable ideas in the realm of playing guitar. 1000% job explaining it here too Andrew. What a lesson. Thank you!
Great timing to find this and have it laid out so clearly. I had just seen this connection but was not quite grasping it yet as I was working on the solo for “Something”, but an octave lower than it’s played, for doubling with a looper. This “new” (to me) C “box” has 95% of that solo, but now I understand it and can apply it elsewhere. Thanks for sharing your excellent grasp of theory, but with simple explanations in bite sized bits, to help us campfire strummers.
Well hey I mean great lesson but I was kinda interested in the Eko on the thumbnail, can you do a quick segment on that guitar? Eko guitars are not so well known in the States at this time but have a very cool range of vintage guitars that collectors and players love, which model is it? Is it pre-1967 before owner died? Is it from Sicily or Czech Republic? For the current prices on Eko vintage guitars (most are under $1k) people should know more about these European (read-non Japanese) gems!
Oh my goodness, Andrew, it's you! I haven't seen one of your videos pop up on my feed in ages. Wow. Hi from Australia. Hope you're well. A lot of water has obviously gone under both our bridges over the years. 😁 All the best.
