    Hey man! Very smart idea to tilt up a body with no fear to damage sides. Actually it may be combined with a cart or wheels to move a fastened body all over a shop!
    Once again, smart idea with minimum costs!👍👍👍

    That's a really cool idea that most don't think of. I've only seen it used as a circle jig so the car can be tipped upside down but this is great as well.

    Clever Mark, wish I had a garage to do my restoration. Did my floors on jack stands one at a time on the pinch welds because I had to do floor rail repairs as well.
    Weather permitting of course.

    My project has been sitting for over five years needing the same thing and not having the money to buy a rotisserie. I seen this video and thought omg yes finally show me what to do and boom just a tease. Is there any place with the actually instructions how to do this?

    • @eastwoodco
      @eastwoodco  Рік тому

      Well it's more of a general overview as every car is going to have different dimensions. You can search around for Tilter Jig, DIY Rotisserie, etc. and find others but again the size and shape are ultimately going to be something you decide.

      @@eastwoodco Thank you for the response; I've previously looked online and found a number of versions that were rather complex. I have a welder, but I haven't bought any metal or cut it to size yet. The measurements needed to construct something similar in order for it to be balanced would be crucial; the rest is likely visible from images. My project is a 77 Camaro stripped down to a body shell, exactly like the one in the video.

      How about you post the list of gross materials used? Like "40ft of 2x2" square steel, 1 sheet 4'x8' 3/4" plywood, 28 1/2"x 4" bolts with nuts and 2 large 3/4" washers each..... "
      That sort of thing and maybe just some general design drawing would get a whole lot of guys building these things! That body tilter was the heat!! dirt simple and practical, easy to make and use. Much appreciated, great work brother.

    Nice job , I built a regular rottiserie years ago , worked well , just a big pain in the butt to take apart and store while not using , also each end was not very slim , didn't tuck up to the wall nice and neat. This looks like a perfect alternative ! I'm about to do a 57 chevy , I think the only change I'm going to make is that I'm going to make the frame a little taller on the bottom so I can bolt the body on and roll the body off of the cars frame. May work may not , worth a shot . Thanks again

      I first saw a variation of this idea about 20 years ago. Nice idea if space is limited. Besides, I don't remember Mark saying he invented it, he simply shared what he did that may help the next guy. I applaud the knowledge transfer as it helps the DIY crowd.
