"He really shouldn't look so clean for someone who was amputated and tortured." 😂😭 The amount of tiny detail your printer can produce is amazing!! The stitches and belts impressed me 🔥 Love the combo of flocking and painting, and the pose you chose for this fig has so much movement!! Cannot wait to see what future projects you can incorporate flocking and blackest black into :D
would really love to see game accurate versions of the smiling critter plushies! Especially Hoppy Hopscotch since shes my favourite. Great video as always!
This looks awesome! What if you made Vanny from FNaF: Security Breach? Her design is comparable to Catnap/Dogday and her suit has more pattern variations which could be interesting. Maybe you could even put an LED in her head for her glowing eyes
It's too bad the flocking applicator didn't work, but it still turned out amazingly! Also the eyeballs appear to be actually floating, due to the really black paint which is super cool
Many game models have their subdivision done with the game engine. Inside of Blender, apply a subdivision surface modifier to the model. This should give you the geometry needed for sculpting.
As far as I'm aware, flocking likes to stick to specific adhesive, not just any glue. Evan And Katelyn tried it, and Katelyn said it smelled like nail polish (which they later tried and it seemed to work). Perhaps nail polish in a matching color might work as a better adhesive than mod podge?
DogDay looks amazing. I definitely wasn't expecting to see my comment about Musou black up there. I don't even know how they manage to make paint that absorbs that much light.
@@zedabyu Sounds good man, they have so many versions and have crossed over with everything at this point. Huge audience to tap into, but yeah need to be properly timed.

@@zedabyu WHERE IS THE VIDEO ONLY ABOUT THE SANDING‼️‼️‼️ The better flocking is good since dogday is pretty shaggy, I can't way to see your future projects!
I'd to see you tackle an accurate Poppy :) Btw as someone who loves accuracy, your videos just tickle that itch that most creators dont. LOVE YOUR WORK!
@@Naturaldeez it is just simple import and exporting. if that confuses you then you'll have to start with the basics of any 3d softwares. it will be boring at the start but those are important basics
a litre of resin is about 40 bucks, at this scale this dogday is at most 200g? so 8 dollars for this print. flocking is from china so pretty cheap, and the few drops of paints are insignificant. only costs time i guess
I don’t know enough about Flocking myself to know why this isn’t working, but there’s some UA-camrs named Evan and Katelyn that have a few videos messing with it that might help ya for the future. The end result was pretty great all things considered!
With flocking, usually you need a specific sort of flocking adhesive that stays tacky for a bit. I don't think Mod Podge is really built for that purpose, sadly. :v Also, careful with that Musou Black! It tends to offgas for a while after the paint is touch dry and could be hazardous if it's not left in a ventilated area.
I see...shouldn't have followed Wicked makers then LOL. I will be researching more on static flocking next, and probably use their glue. Oh didn't know that about Musou black lol, how did you find out about it?
@@zedabyu I watched a video by Stuart Semple who's an artist and does a lot of work with paints and pigments (I believe you used his Lit pigment for one of your Buzz figures) - he put out a safety announcement in 2022 about Musou Black for people who have been using it - it offgasses pretty bad, and apparently since the pigment is so, so *so* fine it can absorb through your skin pretty easily.
@@JomasterTheSecond I just watched the video and ehh, idk man it just sounds like a low effort smear campaign to convert people over to buy his own blackest black lol. No data no stats whatsoever, just him talking about his 'research'. Nonetheless, I'll take the basic precaution while using it, but so far I have not smelled anything around it so there's probably no outgassing, and I also coated it with a couple layers of clearcoat so if it is really outgassing then it will create bubbles/pinholes which I am also not seeing so far. Thanks for the warning tho!
@@JomasterTheSecond don't be sorry lol nth to worry about. maybe im paranoid but i generally don't just blindly accept news and go full panic mode without doing some research myself, and there's really no one else talking about this issue except him lol 🤷♂️
I took a look at one of North of the Border's videos to see what glue he used for flocking, and it seems PVA is the way to go. Acrylic vs polyvinyl acetate, PVA is probably stickier, while Mod Podge is more of a sealant.
@@X_Tsukasa_X haha yeah me too. they are still surprisingly big though, if we are going for the actual scale. like poppy is already 60cm, so i think huggy wuggy is at least 1m.

I am not very skilled with Blender so I do everything in ZBrush. It should be the same right?
@@zedabyu yes yes. Subdivision works similarly in both. Blender can do nearly everything Zbrush can, but would take time learning it. 😅
