If the first opition doesnt work and registry editing is not something you want to try just yet, try going to the Devices and Printers in Control Panel , selecting Add device, Add your device from those listed (mak sure its in pairing mode),and then when it asks for a passcode, click the "add passcode on device instead" link. This worked for me.

I just figured out how for a keyboard.
When it comes up on the PC, select it and type any pin you can remember, push connect. Then type the same numbers on your keyboard while the PC is trying to connect, hit enter. It'll connect.

Didn't work for me with a Cowin E7 headset. There is no available window in which to type while it is connecting. I never needed a pin during previous use.

My bluetooth apple key board kept asking me to enter a pin, which i do not know, rather than the usual method of providing me with a pin. This made my window 10 PC revert back to this option which worked fine ressolved my issue - thank you.

I don't know why it was made to be such a difficult thing to find. Everyone else is pretending that to connect this keyboard is as easy as adding it in the Bluetooth devices option and it will work every time. You really saved the day for me with this video!

I also had to go to my registry and for other users that find a slight variation to your video...in the addrs folder I found 5 sub-folders and initially i thought I should delete them all. However, there was only one folder with the same format as the one you show in the video....mostly numbers with a c at the end. I left the other folders there and everything works perfectly.

Before doing the last option, you may want to right click the folder and clicking "export" before deleting. Therefore if it does not work, you can always reimport via File > Import

Absolute LEGEND! Last option worked. The only thing I would add to the video is: when you reboot the PC and try to reconnect with the Bluetooth, the PC will ask you to input on your keyboard a random generated pin code. You will have to do that within a few seconds or it will time out and it will not let you in. It took me 6 times before I had the sharpness of mind to read all those numbers and enter them on my Bluetooth keyboard before the time was up... 😅
This is the main issue I'm having: I input the pin code & hit enter and I receive a message error that the PIN did now worked. Very frustrating

I've had a cheap "Xtreme wireless bluetooth keyboard" laying around frustrating me for YEARS. I could get it to work with every other type of device BUT my windows systems. I was ready to start diving into some nefarious software to brute force the "pin" that windows wanted for pairing, which of course "xtreme" didn't provide in the very limited documentation. Nope, the problem was with windows itself the whole time. Thank you!!!!

Thank you very much, I was trying to do this for 30 minutes and found your video. There must be an easy way to do this reset.
For some reason my bluetooth keyboard stopped working after 2-3 years. I think it happened when I swapped the USB key that I use as bluetooth receiver to a different USB port, it stopped working, and then I push the reset button on my keyboard and this may have removed all the saved bluetooth pairings. After trying to pair it again, there was no code showing, windows directly asking me to "enter the code for this device" without giving me the code to enter, which made no sense...
I then tried to remove the entry in the registry as you explained and this time it worked perfectly. Thank you very much sir !

This 2nd method really works thanks a lot it helped me to solve my Bluetooth problem.
Had the issue that I ignored the PIN and it did not show up a second time - DELETING THE RE ENTRY HELPED and brought back the PIN - just entered it on the keyboard followed by ENTER and voila - it worked :-D ! Thx buddy !!
