Is Loeb Stadium the Best High School Stadium in Indiana?
From 1940 to 2019, the original Loeb Stadium in Lafayette, Indiana, was the home for baseball. It served as home to the Lafayette-Jefferson High School baseball program, the Colt World Series, various minor league baseball teams, and since 2016 the Lafayette Aviators of the Prospect League.
That changed when the ground broke on August 27, 2019, on a new ballpark that would open for the 2021 high school baseball season. The $22 million renovation plan would include a press box, multiple concession stands, and bathrooms, stadium seats, a terrace level with hospitality suites, and new turf.
The grandstand was rotated 180 degrees from its original position, and its main entrance is now at the corner of Main and Waters Street. The new ballpark also houses a video scoreboard, a beer garden, and a wraparound concourse.
Construction took 19 months, which included a three-week shutdown for the pandemic, in April 2020. On March 31, 2020, the first event took place when the Lafayette-Jefferson Brochos debuted at the ballpark.

Kokomo Municipal is probably the best. Considering it was ranked one of the best college parks in the country in addition to hosting KHS baseball

Wish Valpo and VU would have done something similar to what Kokomo did rather than pay to returf the HS field. Should share Bauer field and the funds should have gone to a grandstand, parking lot and a new video board. VU plans to sell the land to the city anyway to fund the new basketball arena.

@BallparkHunter umpires a PG series there. They turned it into a hybrid. Turf infield and grass outfield and redid the pens and the clubhouse. But it's still the same old gravel lot and iron bleachers. They were supposed to have built a proper grandstand and parking lot but that never came about. Valpo high built a press box, made the whole field turf and installed a new video board. The softball field at VHS was replaced with a turf field as well and placed on the site of the freshman practice football field
