Lady, let me tell YOU about humanity. Humanity is hearing and listening to the people of your town express their disgust with your department over your officer's killing of a 14 year old by shooting him in the back as he ran away from an alleged minor crime instead of fiddling with your phone and looking completely disinterested. See the video on Arizona United News channel or Phoenix Copwatch channel.
67 million encounters a year! What YOU forget is that these people are human and make the best decision they can in a split second. You can't un-ring a bell, un-speak a spoken word or recall a bullet.
What happened to that young boy was absolutely tragic, no doubt. You will find very few police Chief's in this country as committed to doing the right thing and transparent as Chief Moir, who will handle this incident, as she has others, appropriately.
@@mariasandoval2906 sure, they can't un-shoot the kid. You're implying that they would like to do so...which implies that it was an unjust shooting, in other words a murder. But they could have taken appropriate action after the fact. They can still do the right thing right now but they are not. Instead we have to wait for two lengthy investigations, both administrative and criminal. They put the cop on paid administrative vacation on the tax payers dime so he can get his affairs in order. That child was not able to get his affairs in order, nor was his family. They lost him forever in an instant. The cop should have lost his job and his freedom just as quickly. The police chief should have made sure that happened early on, OR AT LEAST BY NOW! Some day he may face justice. If that day comes, how old would Antonio be by then? He might be a junior in college. He might be married with children of his own. If he fired once, I can see the whole "best decision they can make in a split second" thing, but he fired twice. He really just wanted to catch the kid and thought that would be a neat way to do it. Judging by his wheezing, he was in no condition to catch the kid unless he shot him. Is it true the cop handcuffed the dying kid and THEN TASED HIM? Apparently there was a witness who says she filmed that happening on her tablet. But the cops confiscated her tablet, held her captive for hours while they interrogated her, then returned the tablet the following day completely inoperable. This was not a split second decision. They waited 10 hours before they told Anotnio's Mom that he was dead, even though she could have visited him in the hospital during his dying moment if they would have come clean sooner. She even put in a missing child call. They didn't care. They were going to handle this THEIR way, regardless of right, wrong, lawful, unlawful and it would be a carefully planned out thing, not done in a split second. So ok, we'll give the cop a free pass on the shooting for argument's sake. Let's say he (legitimately) feared for his life or that Antonio would hurt someone. The coverup is perhaps even harder to just dismiss. 67 million interactions and how many coverups? We don't know because some of them were potentially successful.
I'm starting to wonder is she had all of her "girlfriends" like and comment on this? Assuming she has time? I wish you ladies were at the council meeting or had a chance to listen to the mom of Antonio Arce as she grieved for her son. Your minds might change if you knew the trauma her department has put on the community they state that they "protect".
Beautiful, beautiful! I learned of it via a class called the Science of Happiness, free and taught by professors of USC Berkeley, online. I took it twice. It's taught to the prisoners as well. Too bad it wasn't earlier in their lives. It's not easy at first, but people began to see a change in me after 6 months and wanted to know what I was doing. Not everybody can turn off the "monkey mind " and it's hard to be non judgmental but it is important. Thanks
So they cleaned up a possible crime scene without taking pictures, or evidence? Shouldn't crime scene investigators be the ones cleaning after gathering evidence?
Outstanding and incredibly accurate! It takes a special person to answer this calling. We need to spread this message early in an officer’s career ... too many have lost the battle with demons they’ve accumulated on-duty. Anything which helps officers cope and be more effective at their job is absolutely worth trying. So excited and proud to hear Chief Moir spread this message! Great job Sylvia 💙
@@PhoenixCopwatch yeah, it's one thing to make a mistake on the job. It's something entirely different when that mistake leads to the death of an innocent (until proven guilty) child.
This is fake, all an act to make them seem like they care. They only care about themselves. She was playing on her phone instead of listening to people ask why they haven't fired and charged an officer that did wrong. Totally unaccountable. She needs to quit doing this.
The Witnessing Cop....Love it!
Wow.!
Big thank you ❤
This is what we need for change...
Thank you so so much
Thank you, Chief Moir! So proud of you!
Go Tempe!!

@@alanaforrest6277 she has failed and continues to fail. She needs to quit before the community makes her.

There’s blood on your hands, Sylvia. RIP Antonio Arce
Excellent job Chief. Great stuff. Now to get others on board....and I know you are!

She needs to fire officer Jaen if she really cares, clamp down tight on those who break policy and the rights of others. They aren't "the law".
