I binge-watched these Dreadnought videos for several hours and this was the most enjoyable one yet. First like to a Dreadnought game video. You two just dove in an owned it! That you keep an open comm channel an coordinate is really paying off.

I only discovered this game three days ago, but still can't afford buying a new game. More particularly, I'm not keen on playing online. I wouldn't mind a single player campaign of this and then would consider buying it. It's the Fulgora that got me interested because of the design, though- admittedly, it looks more like the kind of weapon you'd use in close air support like an AC-130.
If you can get three other people to team up with you could employ the full tactics of modern naval strike groups and pretty much clean house.
Not nearly enough 'FIRE EVERYTHING!' in this video, haha.

For corvette to work like this inside a enemy group, fire support from teammate is really important, otherwise no corvette can survive if all big ships focusing on you. A particular strong formation against 2 covettes is Light Tac + Heavy Tac + big ships

Looks like a cute version of Fractured Space to me.
Halo should do a game series like this,I would definitely buy it.
1:18: Use "f" to mark targets. Also has other uses when not aiming at enemies.
3:10: Putting energy to weapons makes a *huge* difference ;) And, with the Corvette, offense really is the best defense.
8:40: Best not to engage cloak so far out. Keeps you from using mobility abilities and means the cloak runs out at the wrong time. Use the terrain to hide your approach until you get closer.
9:12: Second complete waste of Torps :p
11:14: Gotta lead the target with that gun. Also, zooming in activates a slight auto-aim.
14:32: FYI, that gun has heavy damage falloff with range so you're not doing a lot from that far out :p
15:20: Yeah, that happens a lot with Corvettes. They get in and kill with the minimal amount of damage because it's so fast while the big ships just hammer at each other, dealing massive damage but not accomplishing much and the score clearly takes damage done into account. It's fairly annoying :/
I hope i can convince my friend to play this game in team, damn, you're deadly.
It would be so great if you did more, not many channels are doing dreadnought gameplay too

Cobratrooper got first place cus he was healing his boss like mad. Cobracommander was aggroing the enemy team while you guys get the kills. for me i usually run a destroyer build to fend off corvettes.

Differences I've noticed:
-*Dreadnought is a simple team deathmatch while FS is a MOBA, reducing strategic depth.*
-*Dreadnought has no dynamic armor system, reducing tactical depth.*
-Dreadnought allows switching ships during match, resulting in constant counter-picks.
-Dreadnought has a very different energy system.
-*Dreadnought has no strafing, reducing tactical depth.*
-Dreadnought has two weapon modes for each ship.
-Dreadnought has different reload mechanics.
-*Dreadnought's map is a single area where FS has multiple sectors to jump between, reducing strategic depth.*
-Dreadnought has more ship customization.
Most of those are fairly inconsequential differences but I highlighted the most impactful ones. Basically, it boils down to Dreadnought being less strategic and tactical than FS but with more customization.

+catbert7 You seem to know a lot about this game so tell me, in the mode where you just play against the AI, do you use unlocks from multiplayer, seperate unlocks, or have access to everything.
Please reply, this means a lot to me because I don't like playing online against others much, to have fun you have to be destroying the competition (most of the time, in my opinion). If you're the one who's being dominated then the game becomes less fun and more frustrating. Some games do have more of an equilibrium than others but I don't react too well to being dominated.

+simel2007 You don't have to buy in. Just sign up for a chance to enter the beta for free or wait until it releases as F2P. Having played both, I'd say that FS is a lot more strategic/tactical but Dread has a lot more ship customization. Both are fun.
catbert7 I have already entered the beta key lucky dip lol. Having played a fair amount of "F2P" games I know premium/hero vehicles/ships will be good to make credits etc. So i'd end up buying one of the packs anyway :)

Dreadnought was so much better in the beta.
I hate corvette's but damn they are so much more fun to fly. I know at some point they will get nerfed lol but untill then may oberon corvettes rule the space and air.
how in the world did you equip the torps and blast pulse on that corvette assuming its the hero one. Everytime I try it says I need to be lvl 23 or thereabouts in order to buy those modules or equip them but I see you were only lvl 14 in this video.

I want them at least a bit nerfed.
Funny thing is, one of my friends had bought the Merc pack and he gave a copy to me and one of my friends; it's definitely an enjoyable game but the MM needs a bit of tweaking for balance. (I do understand it's closed beta, though.)
+WolfyTheAlpha One way to nerf them could be a healing bar, which doesn't heal to 100%. If just a part of the new received damage would be healed, it wouldn't be possible to cloak, attack and run so often without getting into greater danger to be killed.
Very true, and it would be bad for anything slow, though, like the Dreadnought and the Destroyers. (Goras and Zmeys are *really* fucking slow. Even the Invictus and Athos and slow, too.)
+WolfyTheAlpha I'm not sure they need it. They seem to only be super strong in uncoordinated matches. When the enemy clusters together and is vigilant, you can't do much with a Vette. Just peak out from cover and plink at them, basically.

Team work, otherwise Light Tactical Cruiser is the solution
I haven't played yet so I'm a bit confused the counters are not related to destroyers.
I have the same ship, it's actually not that easy to play pubs with it, alone it cannot kill a larger ship solo. They are focus firing with good teamwork and also he plays well, makes it look easy and op
I know this response is crazy late, but destroyers and dreadnoughts have flak cannons and tractor beams. Like draconic said, being effective as a solo player against big ships is pretty challenging. The Corvette's primary role is to hit soft targets; arty and tac cruisers
