Hey Trev, tough luck but no worries, give it all in the next race, a suggestion for you, something I'm sure both you and everyone watching this series must have noticed by now that the car is performing great in the corners but the straights are where you are losing speed, straights are probably the best and the easiest places to overtake on any racing circuit but that is what is acting as the Achilles heel for your car. Even if you are right behind any opponent during a race, as soon as you exit the corner onto a long straight, they start pulling away from you even if you are in their draft, it becomes difficult to catch up to them. I suggest that to increase the straight-line speed of the car, maybe develop more in the powertrain and aerodynamics R&D and also look for a more balanced setup as there is a chance that your car setup might also have something to do with it. If anyone else reading the comment may have any suggestions or ideas as to how to increase the straight-line speed of the car in F1 2022 career mode may also leave their ideas below.
When you’re in drs don’t use all of your ers, you’re in range, so let’s say you have 22% don’t drain it, save it so on the next lap you have more ers to use to get past or stay in range of the car in front
@@dylanhorch6040 Yeah I typically use my ERS until I hit the DRS line with maybe a touch of overlap, but I mainly use my ERS in the sectors with no DRS. Also, it’s really smart not to let it drain because having some stored can be a great defense if some is running DRS behind you, or if you don’t get a great corner exit and you wanna get some time back.
Having the ride height low is gonna help improve straight line speed. Normally the ride height you’re gonna want in this game is 2 on the front and 3 on the rear. Just don’t forget to raise it a little bit for wet conditions!
@@rasmus8408 Yeah, I agree. Most of the tracks tend to favor the high speed setup, with a few exceptions, assuming the track is dry. Tbh though, unless I know the track is gonna be full wet I tend to avoid the higher downforce setups, cause even on tracks like Monaco I’ve noticed having too much downforce just lowers the pace too much against AI on higher difficulties.
Never, Never, Never retire the car when it is still running, A finish in any spot is better then a DNF no matter what, It shows sponsors you dont give up, and 2 more laps on parts your going to be changing out anyhow is nothing
@@Werkvuur I never said it was "real life", and I never said it doesnt happen in all racing... I was merely stating MY experience having actually run in multiple forms of racing and how I was brought up to race and handle sponsors and car owners, But Thank You for your opinion on my statement
Aww man, you were looking really strong there. I was excited to see Cooper Motors on the podium, but hey there’s always the next race. Really enjoying seeing the AI behavior in this one. They seem a lot more scrappy, and prone to more error than in previous installments!
Trevor, remember you sometimes get slip stream but you also get dirty air, don't follow the car too much as that will give you mega oversteer which will make you spin, sometime move to the side a little so you ain't following the car
Honestly my favourite series to watch on UA-cam, I can currently afford the new game but watching your series playing the games gives me so much excitement for when I can play it. Love your content man on all your channels, been with you for years. Keep it goin ❤️
Incredible race Trevor and so much respect for you sticking with it even though you could easily flashback and act like that never happened but this is F1 and having these things happen does make it realistic and will help you learn from your mistakes for next time! I just raced in Canada in my team during my first season where I started with nothing and qualified 17th but had a crazy race getting up to 12th then Leclerc retired and Lando crashed causing a safety car where half the grid including me pitted but most of the cars in the top 10 didn't and they ended up pitting a lap later so I ended up finishing 5th!!
You can press button 3 which is assigned on your wheel to communicate with your engineer! You should use that more to ask for weather updates or do you have damage etc.
A way to get you faster in the straights is by turning off traction control. You can begin by turning it to medium to acclimatize. But turning off traction control will eventually literally gain you seconds per lap. It takes a few hours to get used to but when you’re used to it you are significantly faster.
Hey Trev, just keep in mind with a shorter season your engine components will wear out faster than usual. And in f1 22 you share the same gearbox in practice and the race, unlike in other years where you have separate gearboxes
When it’s light’s out and the race starts, you pressed the speed throttle so hard, that you got so much wheels spin! Nest time, when the light turns green gently press it, and slowly harder and harder👍
When you spun around after passing Schumacher, I noticed you turned right slightly too much, which probably caused you to spin. Love the F1 22 series. Keep it up!
Day 2 of Convincing Trev. for a complete race in F1 2022. Appreciate your content so far. Been with you in the F1 Journey since F1 2019. It has been a rollercoaster ride since.
A little suggestion: When you are turning out of a corner don’t push too hard on the throttle, gently push it so the throttle scale goes slowly up and when you can feel that the car isn’t gonna spin out or get wheel spin, push harder until you are on full throttle👍
Another great episode, too bad about the parts starting to fail. First couple of races when the team is pretty much near the back before any of the developments come through just take a whole set of spare parts and the grid penalties as you will be starting near the back anyway, will give you more to play with later in the season after the car is developed.
id just make your gas pedal less sensitive. you would have better luck with corners. idk if thats even possible but trying to think of was to help with the acceleration spin in corners. keep it up man im loving the series tho. You got me into f1 luv u
Yo trev the reason why you spun is because maybe you got your tyre in the grass a little bit, I suggest for you to hit the apex perfectly and Don't get your tyre In the grass So you don't spun but it's on you, Enjoying the series btw keep it up
If my understanding is correct, the MGU-H is part of the ERS. With it being damaged, your car probably wasn’t regenerating energy the way it was supposed to so of course the other cars would have better ERS later in the race
@@rhallphotos it is, but it has to be replenished and a part of the system, such as the MGU-H, being damaged will prevent it from replenishing correctly. Perhaps it just replenishes at a slower rate, but that’s still no correct and puts that driver at a disadvantage
Alright Trev I think you're warmed back up and it's time to go manual. With a wheel like that you gotta go manual. Though itvmay be new and tough at first in the long run it would be more fun and would make you faster. Also check your assists as if many of those are on they may help you but they definitely do slow you down. Lastly, I'd check the rules and damage to make it realistic. But if not all that you should definitely move to manual gears. Good series though so far, just some recommendations.

Trev, going full throttle in 2nd gear will spin the rear wheels every time. Be more gentle in initial throttle and it’ll help
I don’t think he even has traction control off🥴
I think he has automatic gears 😅
He’s on automatic and has traction control on full
