    This tutorial actually helped a SIGNIFACANT amount, the built in caustic with the water plugin in UE5 suck and don't look great whatsoever and this really improves the look of my caustics, the vuilt in caustic feature only look correct if the waves are shaped moving in a diagonal direction and these help so much with the type of water I'm creating :)

    i got something simillar but it was really difficult to follow your video, maybe creating the material from 0 would be easier for us. But thank you anyway, looks amazing!

    very nice. better option to make caustic than expensive system load. it will be great if u copy and paste node text and keep to download. i made this material watching ur video very carefully.

    Nice video Fabrice! But could you help me? I have a spot light looking down and it projects fine but along the walls the effect is stretched.

    This may sound like a silly question, but how do you only get the spotlight to effect the walls and not the water?

      Thank for replying, yeah, I ended up using the light channels. Although I wish there was a way to add more than two!

    hmmm, rather than having the luminance map rotate around the room i would have made it tranform in to different states.

    • @bits3608
      @bits3608 5 років тому

      Oh, not enough cooling likely. Im running ue4 on an i5, 8gb desktop, not even a tiny bit of slowdown and handles the heat easily.

    Interesting topic, very VERY bad presentation though. Sit and think about what you've done and how you're going to explain it before you start "teaching" others.

    Looks nothing like rippling light reflections.. its more like glass what you created. Observe real thing more
