Thanks for the comment, Bilgemaster Bill, the Herreshoff America Catboat, is a great little boat. They are a bit heavier than the competition, the Marshall 18' Sanderling catboats. Since the Marshall Boatyard is literally just down the street, there quite a few Marshalls around here! I sail an average of 1500 miles every season. (Did 1508 MILES this season) I love sailing away from the dock, under sail power. However, my fellow Marina neighbors, tend to panic a little bit when I come sailing through all their boats to turn around and come back to my dock space in the middle of the marina. I have no problem doing it, but they panic when they see my boom flying around, 280 square feet of sail tend to scare the locals! fair seas and calm winds to you, fellow Sailor
What fun and adventure...great narrative and I loved the music, your dance was quirky and fun and enjoyed this little insight thoroughly ...thanks for sharing...!
Thanks for the kind words. Someday I have to learn how to edit. If I don't do it in one take, I try again. Thanks again for kind words. Fair winds and following seas to you and your's.
Love that wheel!
Well handled, Sir! Those little America Catboats are lovely.

Nice. Looks way easier than surf launching my trimaran.
This hull, with the addition of a shoal keel, became the Com-Pac Horizon Cat.
Is that Gaff Rigged?
Yes she is gaff rigged. Like the good catboat she is. Fair winds and following seas to you
