I love the fact that even though there is a playback, Till isn't dancing or racing around and ruining the "illusion" that it's his voice. I love this song.
When someone says to me "You like Rammstein yuk" I say to them " YES AND I'M VERY PROUD OF IT, DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT??" RAMMSTEIN FÜR IMMER!!!
I simply love this band! About the playback discussion, I don't think there's playback here. You can even hear him catch his breathe between verses of the chorus (listen without seeing from 03:00 to 03:30). Sometimes, people only trust in the video/audio combination on the UA-cam and forget that most of the videos here suffer from a slight delay concerning to the audio (depending of many things, especially quality). If you're enough skilled on video editing, you easily notice that. Cheers!
Go dude! Go!!! I saw them in Tampa, FL, USA and it was the best concert I had ever been to. Don't miss it! Do whatever you have to do, you will not regret it. I hope they Tour the USA again.
@@MGCardaropoli They use a backing tracks on his voice all the time. Nobody talks about it. Even back in early 2000. You can hear it on a lot of songs. It sucks. I'd almost rather him fail at the song with his own voice than to hear an obvious backing track.
honestly, i dont care if its playback. they are all getting quite old and his voice is not as strong as it once were. but they are still one of the best live bands i know
Micidami Actually no. That awfully out of tune singing comes from the audience. This isn't playback, you can see and hear it. Trust me, I'm a musician. The microphones just pick some noise from the audience and all over the stage which can be a problem sometimes. And I can hear from Tills singing that this isn't playback because his voice isn't that good like in the studio version. And no one plays playback in big arenas and festivals if they're a real band that has drums, guitars etc. because it makes no sense at all
Unless they don´t have mics oriented into the crowd, do you think vocal dynamic mics will pick up audience singing? Or guitarists mics, picking up noise much stronger than far far crowd? :) I suppose this shouldn´t be playback, but seems to me too clear to be absolutely live. And well, truly Till isn´t so much of an greatest singer, of course no offence to him or the whole Rammstein, they are great whatsoever ;)
Filipko999 There are about 10 Microphones on this Stage, and everyone will record a bit of the audience. When you oftem stand on a stage yourself you will notice this
kampfnudel22 Much more tahn 10. But I´m pretty sure, that none of the mics on stage are catching audience. Audience is not that loud and beside this, there is much more and louder noise on the stage. Unless they have crowd mics (condenser mics oriented to the crowd), there will be no audience noise from the mics on stage.
Filipko999 3 vocal mics, 4 overheads, one Or two bass mics, one for the hihat, And some for the toms. Guitars and basscabinets were microphoned in a seperatet room. So maybe, okay, About 15 mics. But especially the vocal mics will catch some of the audience. Not much, but you can hear it
kampfnudel22 Yes thats about it! If youve done work with live music, in studio or that kind of stuff, you realize and know what the mics will pick etc. And while Till is singing the chorus you can hear some karaoke star singing along and and some crowd noises along the video :) But all that gibberish i wrote doesnt matter really but this isnt playback for sure and why did you or we start debating on an obvious thing? :D
Rammstein is the one band I will regret not seeing live. The came here to Atlanta and I thought the price was too much. Then I actually started listening to them and they're are one of my favorite bands now. I can't believe how amazing they are live, and how amazing their stage show is.
I'"ve to admit I've been surprised for this live performance, and to be able to sing this song like this. I really love Rammstein, but I heard many times false notes during lives. Well, amazing art as always.
Till's voice type is a solid bass. The high chorus for Ich tu dir weh is all D4,E4, and F4 which is right at the limit for a classically trained bass singer. Add to that, he is trying to sing it in full chest voice which is hard since a bass mixes registers at middle C. You can also hear him singing, but you also hear how much he is struggling. You can also hear vocal problems at those high pitches. It's not Till's fault that he was never trained, so neither of us should be disappointed.
Most artist nowadays playback entire songs, if not entire concerts. If you listen closely, you'll notice in this songs it's just the chorus, and Till sings along with the playback (he doesn't just lipsync it). It's still not the best way to perform your songs, but let's not forget that Till is getting older and had a very energetic style of performing. He can hit the notes, he just needs a bit of guidance from a pre-recorded track. Doesn't make him any less awesome, tho.
Already saw the epic combination of Rammstein and Maiden at Sonisphere 2010. I could get used to THAT double act! (I'm totally going to Download, btw!)
In this song the corus is not a playback as everyone assumes,he is singing in chorus with someone else in the background. What doesnt help matters is the poor acoustics of where they are playing, even some of the crowd can be heard on the chorus. This type of recording is very different to that of,say volkerball. This had been tuned to sound good to the audience and then recorded, which is why it sounds odd to us.Volkerball had a dedicated recording suite for the sound and mixed accordingly.
I'M WELL OVER 50 AND HAVE LISTENED TO METAL ALL MY LIFE, BUT, HAVE NEVER SEEN A BAND OF THIS CALIBER. I'VE SEEN THEM TWICE AND HOPE TO MAKE IT 3 x'S. THERE BETTER LIVE THAN ON DISC, CAN'T SAY THAT FOR MANY BANDS
Well I'm sure there is something to that, but I think a good part of it is the rush of hearing hundreds upon thousands of your fans singing along with your every word that draws people to point the microphone towards the audiance. What I find even mord interesting is the number of people who know the words to all their songs and don't even speak German. Then you have the fact that the band speaks a Bavarian dialect vs Hochdeutsche.
@TTommyth : Playback? I'm not sure. There might be some, but you can clearly hear him take breaths. But, also what people miss is this: When a band performs for a television station (such as that that filmed the Rock Am Ring festivals), what the television viewer hears isn't what the live audience hears. The reason for this is to send a clean as possible signal of the music to the television audience. Some live vocal, maybe a guitar, and that's it. A concert filmed for a DVD release is all live.
@popijn100 cute, but wrong. the backing track (what you hear) is layered on what till is singing, and occasionally you can hear the actual live vocals through the "playback", like at 2:02, and pretty much all over the second chorus. not that this matters to me since it's just as much "cheating" as the keyboard parts and layers that are heard even though flake is just playing one of them or dancing or doing some other shit, it's all for the show and it's all good. no use denying this fact though.
The chorus is a really powerful part to sing and take a lot of force to sing it perfectly live. Till is incredible, but he's not super-human. He may need playback to ensure the best performance possible, and besides, it's still his amazing voice :)
@TheCaluha well seeming as most comments are about how Till's mic was supposed to be turned off during the chorus, then its obvious there wasnt supposed to be two voices. If you're saying the majority of the people commenting are wrong, then thats your opinion.
One of the greatest head-banging guitar riffs I've heard in a while
they are such professional musicians! not even kidin...
What about Them?
R. S. looking massive
It's really fascinating how Flake is still alive. :D
should he be dead? I'm sorry if there is something i have missed
Til's done worse shit than Flake. He sets himself on fire whenever the occasion calls for it.
I love the fact that even though there is a playback, Till isn't dancing or racing around and ruining the "illusion" that it's his voice. I love this song.
Playback only in the singing parts
yeah i was wondering cuz i was hearing two voices ^^
One of the best live show ever!!
I have never heard a band preform live and sound exactly the same as the edited version, amazing.
Always, every song, Till always sings the chorus perfectly live.
Pre recorded chorus
Weltklasse! This sure brings back memories. No one puts on a better live show than Rammstein.
When someone says to me "You like Rammstein yuk" I say to them " YES AND I'M VERY PROUD OF IT, DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT??"
RAMMSTEIN FÜR IMMER!!!
The is one of the best songs I've ever heard. Hands down. Rock on, RAMMSTEIN!

Rammstein is one the best group to listen live, it's always a great perfomance.
1:18
the scream XD
somehow fits with the beat
Till's vocal range is just insane. I could listen to that voice forever
Playback
@@Monkerey Ja klar, alles Playback. 😂
Go dude! Go!!! I saw them in Tampa, FL, USA and it was the best concert I had ever been to. Don't miss it! Do whatever you have to do, you will not regret it. I hope they Tour the USA again.
30 person, do not have ears to listen to this beautiful music! XD
One of the most amazing and individual voices ever.....and singing it in german makes it even more powerful. Rammenstein are amazing !!!!!
The chorus is live, definetely, but I think Till is helped by other members to sing it, you can hear that it's live.
It’s a backing track. They forgot to cut his mic.
@@MGCardaropoli They use a backing tracks on his voice all the time. Nobody talks about it. Even back in early 2000. You can hear it on a lot of songs. It sucks. I'd almost rather him fail at the song with his own voice than to hear an obvious backing track.
Deebo Jones Yep! Nobody likes to talk about it
Got to see this live in Las Vegas last Saturday......I have no words that could adequately describe the awesomeness!!!!!
playback sur le refrain?
yes :/
honestly, i dont care if its playback. they are all getting quite old and his voice is not as strong as it once were. but they are still one of the best live bands i know
wtf thats not playback! 😅
Danke viel Mal. :D

360p is a crime for this band and this song! absolutely perfect! R+!
Rammstein is one of the only bands I've liked since I was younger that has truly gotten better

Most amazing performance ever :,)
I don't care about the playback, this show kicked ass.
@skywind1987
the original track is playing in the background on a lower tone so he can follow it i think
Not like any other band.. Rammstein always gives the best performance.
Rammstein is AMAZING!!
It's half-playback, that is chorus voice is taped and Till sings along with it.
even tho i have no idea what he is saying i can still sing all the lyrics!! I LOVE RAMMSTEIN!!
Rammstein zum Einschlafen
got to love that chorus
