Totally agree with you Ginny, totally. It's beauty like this that transports one across dimensions and worlds until one feels like one's own feet walk in the streets of Zadash.
What I see is the face of a young, blue, freckled tiefling sitting cross-legged and staring up in fascination, listening. You hear a deep and mischievous voice speaking, and the camera pans around to see the traveller, wrapped deep in his cloak. "What story would you like to hear today, Jester?" The traveller says. "Oh, oh Meester Traveller! I want one weeth dragons and love! One weeth heeros like mama's books!" "I know exactly what you mean. So, let me tell you a story about a group I met many years ago. A group named," the Traveller picks up Jester's bear toy and holds it up, "Vox Machina." The camera zooms in on the roaring bear toy and then it actually roars, charging and biting at a goblin. The scene zooms out and it is the battle under kraghammer, in the mines.
1. Why isn’t this ❤️ yet? 2. If we don’t get this in The Legend of Vox Machina, they missed out. Whether as part of the intro, or as the ending clip as a segwayto The Legend of Mighty Nein.
@@LocalMaple I don't think it would be called The Legend of the Mighty Nein, I think "The Tale of the Mighty Nein" fits better. Vox Machina are well known legends, the Mighty Nein are closer to "Hey do you remember that one group with the blue tiefling? What did they call themselves again? The Epic Eight?"
Not even lately. Search "welcome to wildemont" "trost" "ashkeeper" and oh yeah vox machina the musical. Someone also made a ruby of the sea is the best lay ever song that is amazing
Wow. Just wow. I put this on, closed my eyes, and saw the most beautiful film reel inside my head of the entire Vox Machina campaign, with the ending, Matt Mercer, closing the book, and opening the new one, with the Adventures of The Mighty Nein... this filled me with such wonderful emotions on the eve of this day. Thank you for your wonderful music.
I am sure we are not picturing exactly the same thing, but I see it exactly like this! We open on the moon. As clouds overtake and all you eventually see is black the the barely ever visible northstar. The stars grow in number and become the sparkling mines of Kragghammer depths. Down corridors and chutes into the red sparkles of an alien cave beady eyes and tentacles below from high above it pans to our heroes being a washed in ash spewnforth becoming lighter and becomes snow. Slinking to white topped tree boughs with nooses dangling below; as HIS minions sit atop a zigaraut in the background with HIM in silouet through the shuffling waves of limbs only to feel relief and victory on the road back home. But that sense of relief is undercut by that first calm and crescendo right before the world of dread unfolds before them, into the ice battle where we see a right proper statue of a hero; creating an army stomping to the drums under Tibs and their stead; to the front gates of hell; to the fiery top of his throne to a battle ending in smoke and dust only to be cleared... And when victory is at hand with that 2nd uproar, there she is, the deceiver, hand on corpse, and a chase ensues! Always behind them is the darkness, that untold bass making your toes curl and hearts quicken; the scene shifts from chasing to being chased! As they slay enemies upon enemies finding their paths. Finally grasping the silouet of a perfect pearl; once again, the pursued, ourheroes, are the pursuers, as the army builds guest star by guest star at their side they charge forth up the colossal entity! With goal in sight. As they pass through trials and tribulations they confront and overcome the ultimate evil!!!! We see the aftermath, a stone warden for generations and in the calm as we see a purple hand wiping the tear from a scarred eye with a light tutf of white curled into frame blocking the second eye. We back out into a porcelain face on a black shapeless entity and then it bursts into snowdrops and blue owlbear feathers fluttering through the air- As we all phase out to Our beloved(s) memory as a raven on an antler leaping as we see it flutter and graze from a shoulder as red curly locks flow from the freckled skin, with faint green winds almost like silken curtains gliding off our queen, as the green deepens into a sea green, sea blue, blue to navy to black, each color pallet shift in sync with the telling of the belles: until all that remains is black and a reflection of the original moon seen at the beginning and like the beginning we begin the build until finally!!! --- we explode back in on a bright day and a bright blue wave that reveals: The high seas!!! Fjord standing on mast, falchion in hand and the Meighty Nein below preparing for adventure as dungeon Mercer and Ookatoa darken the sky with their images more so after every trough in the waves of the seas! Dungeon Mercer begins to over shadow and eventually force Ookatoa away with his size! Last crescendo begins after only Dungeon Mercer remains but fades back out as the logo initially with green/black hexblade curse upon the base, the signature fire cleanses it. CRITICAL ROLE Thank you for inspiring this journey through many years of joy condensed into this orchestral masterpiece!!

I am a massive fan of film scores from the likes of Hans Zimmer and John Williams, and if I heard this without seeing who wrote it, my first guess would be one of those two. It has an incredible variety of emotions going through it, and it honestly sounds extraordinary. Sooooo I'm a beginning filmmaker and GOD THIS WOULD BE PERFECT FOR A FEATURE FILM (Once I'm further along and can make actualy quality movies, you will hear from me.)
I think this would be a great theme in the background if one of the members of Vox Machina meets up with the Mighty Nein, and the member of Vox Machina talks about their time with Vox Machina
Bravissimo!!! I would love if you and McGuinness could collaborate for the continuing Adventures of the Mighty Nein suite or something. Got a delayed tear up 2 minutes after it was done.
I freking love this, I can very clearly picture this an an opening for a movie / tv series. starting out somewhere in the sky for lighthearted adventure following a bird then bird jumps into battle with VM or M9 and right into a battle and an escape, bad guys rising in the shadows behind them. Put into an impossible situation, the group all stand and get ready, flashes of shocked faces as some of the party get injured. Then softer more gentle scenes, a revival ritual maybe? The show's couples comforting each other after a hard hard fight. Resolve and some hijinx / pranks, return to battle scene with invigorated adventurers now winning! They rise victorious in hero group pose! Rise up to a smirking DM in the sky and cape flap transition to tittle card! Wow!
I have been listening to a number of CR inspired fan made music tracks... and there is some truly amazing work out there, but this just blew me away. I'm a fan, and I play in an orchestra and this ..... this is extraordinarily good work. Subbed! I am inspired to start creating some work myself now, for the critters are the most incredible community ever to exist. The artwork is just out of this world, and music like this... it just fills me with so much joy. Thank you so much.
This is still (and will forever be) on my playlist for inspiration-scores. I hope they snatched you up to work on their animated series. This is incredible!
This is so delightfully Tal'Doreian, it's kinda making me cry for Vox Machina. Some moments during the current campaign I've been struck by its depth and complexity. The simplicity and purity of Vox Machina's journey is sometimes a needed respite from the politics and pain of the Mighty Nein. This piece captures VM's grandeur and importance beautifully.
This is... Astounding... Incredible. I'm tearing up. I'm one of those people who feels really emotional when it comes to music and this hit me. So well done
This is really amazing. I can't help but marvel at how you managed to run theme and variations on the actual melody so well. To me, that melody wouldn't have held up to the dynamism of the rest of the piece, but you found a way.
I love so much in a way that, when it first came on through a Mix that i put on, I didnt realise what it was, its so suttle in what it references, and I think thats what makes this an absolutely fantastic piece of art. Thank You So Much!!
Wow. Hit me in the Feels. Powerful. Playful. Epic. Well done sir. I hope to be hearing this piece during the art sizzle reel along side the Wildemount piece really soon.
WOW. Just wow. I am truly in awe. You sir, are unbelievably talented. When writing this, was it with the story and it's movement in mind, because I totally here this moving in pace with the first act of the Mighty Nein: mysterious origins, coming together with initial victory and greatness, then losing Jester, Ford, and Yasha, then the death of Molly around 4:39, grief, moving on out of necessity and revenge for Molly, hard fought and bloody battles against Lorenzo and the Iron Sheppards, defeat of the enemy, reunion, and then moving forward in greatness and victory.
Thank you! I'd not deliberately followed campaign 2's narrative, but certainly, the ups and downs of the CR stories had a big influence on the places the music went in terms of mystery, coming together, battles, loss, and (fingers crossed!) victory in the end. Hope that makes sense? I love the fact you can associate it so closely with the Mighty Nein story though, that's great!
Stunningly great! This is one of my favorite critical role adaptations of the theme mixed with original ideas as well. Well done! Hope to hear more from you soon!

...when it becomes a movie.
I like the fact that it is a when and not an if.
More like franchise if they can get a reaction like the kick starter for the animation

Aaah delightful! Thank you for this! :D
4:00 the part starting here didn't happen to have been inspired from the Baldur's Gate (menu?) theme would it? its reminding me of it anyway.
To me, it sounds like the Isengard Unleashed theme from Lord of the Rings
It's like I'm battling Sephiroth again... Best compliment to this style of music I can possibly give.
I'm putting this song right next to the lotr and mononoke hime playlist of "epic music to make you feel like you're in a movie".

I would LOVE to see the sheet music for this
