When they led the resistance in the final battle, I teared up. I was like “Jason, Zach, Trini, Tommy, Kimberly and Billy would be proud to see these guys become real heroes.”
@@manuelorozco7760 that would have been so cool if all of them could have came back I would have loved to have seen the reactions of them seen bulk and skull leading the citizens of Angel Grove to a battle
I think the overarching theme of the _Power Rangers_ franchise is that anyone, no matter their age or skill set, can be a hero. That's why Zordon chose five "teenagers with attitude" instead of professional warriors. And that's why Bulk and Skull, originally just bumbling comic relief characters, got so much focus over the course of the Zordon Era. When the chips are down, they can do some really impressive stuff.
Kyle Stubbs the Boom Studios comics actually explains why Zordon picked teenagers. If I remember correctly He claims that adults are too set in their own views and prejudices, while teenagers are still in their formative years. Zordon learned this the hard way in the 60’s when he chose 5 adults for a special mission to the moon and after being unable to work well together, 3 of the Rangers were killed.
Adam Hovey they’re technically not canon since the original show was set in the 90’s and the new comics are a lot more modern, but I always view it as more of a modern update to the story.
Yeah, that's true. I always admired that part of the series. Whether street thieves or martial artists, musicians or former bad guys, anyone can achieve their heroic potential. Yes it sounds cheesy but hear me out.
Bulk and Skull were proof to me as a kid that anyone can be a jerk sometimes but that when the chips are down even they might just choose to do the right thing and be a hero.

Seriously, the number 1 pick in this one literally had me crying when it first aired on television. I was 17 or 18, and at that time had been watching it since the beginning. I watched Bulk and Skull mature as characters as myself was maturing. It definitely caught me in the feels
Wasn't surprised or disappointed with the top two picks. I completely forgot the Horath episode. I'm also glad they put Skull's piano scene on the list. That's the one I was waiting for. Marked a defining moment in their friendship.
Honestly, I feel like Skull's piano playing should be #2 on the list, because it showed that Bulk cared more about their friendship than anyone would have guessed before.
Completely agree with the top 2 picks this time. I honestly get emotional whenever I go back to watch In Space's finale and Bulk and Skull's finest hour comes up. For those who grew up with the series, this was the height of their character growth and in that moment, they became heroes. I think that was a powerful moment for all kids watching the series because it showed you that you didn't need super powers to be a hero and that real nobility and heroism shows itself when the situations are most dire.
QUESTION. Did they ever learned the rangers identites? I AM SURE they at least got to see the in space team (most of it) unmoprh alongside the whole town
I always found it funny (and I think it was subtly done on purpose to see if anyone noticed): obviously since they don't know who the Rangers are they don't exactly KNOW the obvious clue that the Rangers always wear the color of their suits in their clothing. BUT, they have Bulk clearly wearing a Green vest and Skull wearing red so they easily could have just gone with that but they have Bulk pick blue & Skull pick black. It was probably a nod to the entire franchise that no one ever made the connection.
That was classic. Should've totally been on here. Of course the kids weren't actually drowning and were just fine in shallow water, but that just makes it funnier! =D
cerrome ceo . agreed. haha hehe and the way bulk and skull don't call Jason and his friends by their names and call them the geeks kind of reminds you of the way team rocket jesse and james don't call ash and his friends by their names they always call them the twerps.
I wouldn't be surprised if they have kids and they were each other's kids godfather. That would actually be adorable. In Samurai, I think it's so cute that Spike (Skull's son) calls Bulk uncle.
I have always really liked the relationship between Bulk, Skull and Officer Stone, particularly in Zeo, it reminds me a lot of the kind of relationship that Benson, Mordecai and Rigby had in Regular Show, where it’s a guy looking after 2 knuckleheads who constantly mess things up and make him mad but he keeps them around because deep down you can tell that Officer Stone sees himself in kind of a father/son type of relationship with Bulk and Skull, similar to how Benson does with Mordecai and Rigby
Yes Bulk and Skull are what made it better. They where funny but seemed a bit harmless too. i felt bad when the rangers would snub them. They where pretty good Characters
The #1 choice was my favorite moment for Bulk and Skull. 4-5 years of pent up heroism unleashed! If Jason, Zach, Trini, Billy, Kimberly, Kat, Aisha, Tanya, Adam and Rocky could see them at that moment! Bulk and Skull= GOAT
I love how they were developed throughout their run. From low level bullies obsessed with exposing the Rangers to more mature guys with some of that charm we came to love. They become heroes in their own way, I hope if a sequel for the 2017 movie is made, they can get the actors playing these two to make a cameo!
Was great fun being a kid then a teen in the 90s. Genuinely was a great time we had the legacy of 80s cartoons/TV being re-run then 90s classics with awesome TV, Films, Video Games and unforgettable music.
At least we know that in the far future, one of Bulk's descendants finally ended up becoming a Power Ranger. For those that never knew that, I suggest looking up Power Rangers Hyperforce and seeing what I mean.
I want so bad for: 1) Hyperforce to be an animated series 2) for a moment with Bulk interacting with Hyperforce Yellow (and his comics Orange ranger self)
is probably the laugh. they forced that laugh. ANYWAY i will prefer Bulk and Spike over Victor and Monty everyday (also i feel sad for Spike, Writers originally wanted Spike to become the gold ranger and be the 2° comedic relief character that becomes a ranger since Ziggy)
I did enjoy this one episode where Kimberly is placed under a spell that makes her fall in love with Skull. However when the spell wears off, she realizes what's happened and Skull is left heartbroken. Later at the dance, her and Tommy realize that she was a little hard on Skull and makes it up to Skull by asking him to dance with her. At first Skull rejects the offer but she apologizes to him, saying they will always be friends. Afterwards Skull does accept her offer and the two share a beautiful dance together.
