Hi, I haven't tried it in the 67 yet but I think the advantages, especially if you develop yourself are a great reason to try it out, twice the shots in the same amount of chemicals!
Since Cinestill announced their new 220 film I have been thinking about getting acquainted with 220 via the GP3 offer. Have a 220 back for the ETRSi and the Yashica 124g takes it. I will await your review ;-)
Hi Dave, that was exactly my thoughts as well, when I came across these 4 220 inserts at the same price as other vendors wanted for one, I put in a bid and won, be interested in experiencing a new to me film stock, will test it's latitude and develop in the Fomadon RO9 developer that I got recently also, keep you posted with a follow up video.....
Excited to see 220 available in black and white. I've been tempted to buy a 220 back for my Bronica considering they're dirt cheap; maybe not for long with Cinestill's new 220!
Hi, that was my thought, so I picked up 4 inserts for the 645 really cheap, 30 exposures or 24 in your case sounds mighty tempting, uses the same amount of developer as a 120 film too, very cost effective....
@@danem2215 Hey, sorry forgot Bronica made 645 cameras, always think 6x6, LOL, 30 frames on medium format is a lot, I need interchangeable backs rather than inserts next, it never ends 😁
Well that was a nice surprise, I’d just watched your Canon D5 and then saw this, I’ve got same camera with a couple of lenses I bought from China a few years ago, haven’t got the 220 back, but would be interested in knowing how where and cost of the film you’ve loaded and presumably shot now, hope your going to do a reveal and how it went, good or indifferent, at least you got out there and I think that’s a positive, the experience and memories are more engraved if you’ve shot some film or digital. Nice to watch you load and go over the process a bit, it is a good camera, and for the money, very good. Cheers DG New Forest U.K.
Hi David, thanks for your kind words, it was the Cinestill crowd funding project for 400D in 220 format that got my interest, the inserts came from eBay, four for £40 delivered, so very cheap, I know some people modify them to run 120 film but that's not my plan, the Shanghai film came from Nick&Trick in Folkstone, they sell on eBay, and run a shop, processing etc, they cost about £10 each, It's a lot of exposures on 645, 30 maybe a few more, I have shot half of it and covered +3 to -3 for exposure latitude tests, hope to complete the roll this week and get in developed, I'll use Fomadon RO9 developer at 9 minutes, of course I will put out an update film with my thoughts and test images, trying to get it more publicised as a viable format again, the second roll I plan to run through my Pentax 6x7 so plenty more 220 fun to come ...
Very nice - I’ve been a bit tempted to try this 220 film, as I have a Pentax 67 that will accommodate it, but I haven’t pulled the trigger on it yet.

@@thephotographersbag I absolutely love the swappable backs. Can't believe I've gone so long without a camera with them!
