I used to make home made cards on my computer for everything. It cost a fortune in card stock and ink for the printer. I would word each one uniquely for the person I was giving it to. After a while I realized that they thought as much of cards as they do wrapping paper. Sometimes the card was discarded with the wrapping paper. Most often these cards contained cash or gift card gifts. Once retrieved there was ZED sentimentality about the card.
Yours are so lovely. Were I to get one of these from you I would frame it.
You put your heart and soul into making them. I still keep one drawer full of cards I got from my kids, sister, brother, nephews and others over the years. I told my hubby he can dump them after I go to God. I go thru them once in a while and the memories are there.
You know, I keep a lot of cards I got also. I would never throw away anything people put effort in to make. I love all handmade. Those things have special energy. :)
