  • TICKETMASTER HACK
Ticket sales company Ticketmaster has been targeted by a major cyber attack, potentially exposing the personal data of millions of Aussies and hundreds of millions more around the world. A hacking group called ShinyHunters claims to have stolen the personal data of 560 million customers from the entertainment giant Ticketmaster, including names, addresses, contact details, and credit card info which they've posted for sale on the dark web for $750,000. While we don't know exactly how many Australians are caught up in the breach, experts reckon it could be around 2 million! And yeah, this isn't ShinyHunters first rodeo. They also allegedly leaked the data of nearly 200,000 Aussie Pizza Hut customers last year. The government says they're working with Ticketmaster to understand the incident. But experts worry that any leaked data could be used for phishing, or impersonation attacks down the track. In the meantime there are some things we can do to protect ourselves, like changing passwords regularly, not clicking on suspicious links, enable multi-factor authentication, and changing important details, like ID numbers, if you've been affected by a data breach.
    ICELANDIC VOLCANO
Locals and tourists in Iceland have had to be evacuated again thanks to another volcanic eruption. It's the fifth eruption the country's seen since December, and it was a big one. Authorities say a 3.4 kilometre crack in the Earth has spit lava 50 metres into the air, causing the nearby town of Grindavik and the country's biggest tourist attraction, Blue Lagoon to be evacuated quickly. Luckily, nobody's been hurt, but authorities aren't sure when the volcanic activity will settle down.
    BREAKFAST CLUB
Lots of people say breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but some Aussie kids aren't getting the morning meal they need, which is where a new breakfast program is stepping in to help. Welcome to the Breakfast Club! It's all about helping kids, get prepared for a big day of learning, especially those who might not have much food at home. You see, lots of families are struggling with the cost of living, which means some kids are going to school hungry. But that's where these guys step in. Every week, KickStart provides 60,000 breakfasts and 10,000 lunches to children in South Australia! Thanks to a dedicated team of over over 1,000 volunteers and it looks like little toast can go a long way.
    ROBOTIC THUMB
First up, to a new prosthetic thumb made by researchers at Cambridge University in the UK. But the thumb isn't meant to replace a real thumb, it's meant for people who want an extra one. Controlled by a pressure sensor, not in your hand, or your arm, but connected to your big toe.
    MANHATTANHENGE
Now to the streets of Manhattan, where New Yorkers have flocked to catch a glimpse of the sunset! It's a special sunset, known as Manhattanhenge, and only happens a couple times a year when the sun lines up with the end of the street, and it normally looks pretty cool! But this evening there were a few clouds in the way.
    YOUNGEST MALE PAINTER
And finally to Ghana, where this toddler has just broken the record for the youngest male artist in the world. Ace-Liam is not even 2 years old yet, but he earned himself the title, after he was able to sell and exhibit his paintings at a local museum!
