*Painted Bell* Exeter Red Cow Level Crossing Devon

I thought a new bell had been fitted here until I saw that the wire has been painted silver which means it may have been painted. There was however a scratch on the front f the bell before which appears to have gone. so it's a 50/50 chance that it has been painted

The bell was sounding like the gone was falling out as it would ring a few times after it was meant to stop and that alarm shouldn't have been that quiet really. Listen to the volume of the one that is there now compared with the other one. I think there was something logged into that alarm
