This is so true. When I opened my NGO somebody asked me, "u are now tired of working and decided kukula pesa ya wazungu". This broke my heart coz to be honest it's a calling. I have invested all my money and sometimes it's so hard to get even a meal. But it's better I sleep hungry and help those who are in more need.

Oh and she came bearing gifts, I am just in Awe❤ I love what she has said that Women are Goddess, my God I can listen to her all day. Yes @Lynn Ngugi we need her back to talk about how she overcame about the setbacks when Covid-19 struck and how she overcame the dilemma on how whether going back to employment or continue with entreprenuership. We need to have this conversations about picking up the pieces after a major setback. I just love everything about the LNS community.

Favourite quote, “ you get a job cos of your skin colour, I get a job cos of my grades. I have to push to get into some offices”. Some white people do not understand the privilege they have. We have to work 100 times harder to even be given a chance to showcase our brilliance. Well done for standing your ground when they tried to disrespect your fellow African sisters. You’re a force.

What exactly this story of a fame seeking, naive woman has to do with race, all of a sudden? Typically African narrative: whatever problem we encounter because of our own "culture", we shift it toward blaming whites or everyone else, but ourselves!
      Nonsense at its best!
