    A little advice. Swansea and Cardiff already play in england so personally i would of added TNS as a sole put welsh team from the welsh division.

    Next time you should show the remnants of the old premier league who was winning that?, and also see how this affected the Scottish and other national teams?

    Thanks for your great work. I feel like at the bottom end you need to give a shit on reputation. Would have been fun to watch a team that actually plays in the welsh system as well as Ethinkos Akhas from Cyprus overseas and a team of Gibraltar. Also to be honest I would have liked you to include maybe Irish teams too, but I understand that are not british. Not to forget a team of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, the Bailiwick of Jersey, The Isle of Man and Falkland islands If possible. I liked it that you included Swansea and Cardiff though and Linfield besides the didnt make it reputation wise.

    Awesome video and idea! I really enjoyed seeing how the British Super League developed. Proud of how Wolves did. For future videos, if possible it might be interesting to include a look at the top goal scorers, top contracts, and how the league’s revenue has grown from start to finish. Also, for another time, I wonder how it would play out if the champions from the different super leagues you’ve created in your other videos faced off in a end of year tournament. That could make for an epic showdown! Especially if you continue this super league content, you could basically have old empires battling each other in Football Manager. Keep up the great work!

    Would have been interesting to see how British overseas teams would have competed. Lincoln Red Imps are probably better than any Welsh or Northern Irish league teams, Ethnikos Achna are a sleeper side with historical European experience

      Good idea but I doubt either would make much impact. I'll have to google that second team 😅

      @FMChallenger They finished 10th in the Cypriot league last season, they're probably Championship level if you were to compare them to England, and I would say they're better than every Scottish side outside of the Old Firm. In the 2021/22 season they lost the Cypriot Cup final on penalties to Omonia Nicosia after beating AEK Larnaca in the semi final. They were joint winners in the 2006 Intertoto Cup, meaning they have more European titles in the 21st century than Arsenal and Tottenham. Don't underestimate the quality of the Cypriot league

    • @Udhdhfufuf
      @Udhdhfufuf 2 місяці тому

      @@joshualileycalling the Cypriot league a step up from the Scottish league ( one of the oldest in the world ) is just insulting

    • @joshualiley
      @joshualiley 2 місяці тому +1

      @Udhdhfufuf Prince Andrew is old but I'd much rather leave my child at the daycare. Age has nothing to do with quality. You're completely kidding yourself if you think Scottish sides (other than Celtic and Rangers) are any good.
      Other than Celtic and Rangers, Scottish sides are terrible in Europe. Excluding those 2, no Scottish side has qualified for the Europa League since its creation. You have to go back to 2007/08 with Aberdeen to find the last time it happened in the UEFA Cup. That's not because Celtic and Rangers locked teams out, in the last 3 seasons the 3rd place club has been given a direct pass into the playoff, meaning they only needed to win 1 tie. Before 2022 (and the restructuring of European football to include the conference league), Scotland had at least 2 other clubs in qualifying. In the 4 years of the Conference League, the only sides to qualify did so by virtue of being given their place in the playoff round of the Europa League and did not win any games to get there. The first, Hearts, beat RFS of Latvia twice in the groups but lost all 4 other games by an aggregate of 15-2 to get eliminated in the groups, the second, Aberdeen, drew twice against Helsinki, beat Frankfurt in a meaningless game for both teams and drew with PAOK once to finish 3rd again. The current campaign has yet to be played. In terms of the Champions League, you have to go back to 1986 with Aberdeen to find the last time a team other than the big 2 qualified.
      In the last 17 seasons (the time since Aberdeen last qualified for the Europa League), APOEL has qualified for the UCL 4 times, making the quarter finals once, Anorthosis Famagusta also qualified once. APOEL, AEK Larnaca, Apollon Limassol, AEL Limassol, Omonia Nicosia and Aris Limassol have all qualified for the Europa League group stages in the last 17 years.
      APOEL, Omonia Nicosia, Pafos, Apollon Limassol and Anorthosis Famagusta have all qualified for the group/league stage of the Conference League in the last 4 seasons. Except for Apollon Limassol's sole qualification, every single team that qualified had to win at least 1 qualifying game to get there.
      That means there are a total of 8 clubs who have already achieved more than all Scottish clubs put together except Celtic and Rangers in the last 15 years.
      These 8 teams formed the top 8 of the Cypriot league last season. Only the top 6 split into the promotion round, meaning every season, at least 2 of Cyprus' big 8 clubs go to the relegation round. I have no doubt that if any Scottish club outside of the Old Firm were put in the Cypriot League, they would be battling relegation. The only thing insulting the Scottish League is their teams' abilities.

      Sorry unfortunately not but it's easy to recreate.
      1) Buy the fm editor if you don't have it and then open it.
      2) Select database from the menu and go to competitions. Select the competition you want to be your new league, select edit on selected league and then change the name.
      3) Select 'teams' underneath 'details' of selected league
      4) Click on the team(s) you don't want in your new league, select swap and choose the team(s) you want in your league
      5) After a team has been added select edit and change based nation and continental cup nation to the nation the league is based (they should all be the same)
      6) Save the database! Click file and save editor data as: And choose any name you like e.g. Yugoslavian Super League
      7) Load up Football Manager and start new career game, on career game setup select 'database' and select the editor data file you want to use e.g. Yugoslavian Super League
      8) Enjoy your new league!

    Some extra funny considerations I'd make, talking about this timeline.
    1) Liverpool winning the League on Klopp's final year and then *no Leagues for 50 years* might have the effect of seeing fans treating Klopp's era like it's a mythological one. After all, they could say that this is the only time they actually *won the Premier League* in over 80 years
    2) Those who would witness Tottenham's dominance might find it so surprising that, in their parents' times, they were known as "the team who never wins trophies"
    3) I don't know if you noticed, but, pretty often, Manchester City would always win the FA Cup or League Cup's 5th year you'd show in every block. I imagine someone talking on how Manchester City winning a lot in years ending with 8 and 3 is inevitable
    4) I am Italian, and I constantly paid attention to how Serie A teams were consistently going to European finals, but *almost always lost* . And, well, I don't think I'd enjoy the idea of witnessing 50 years of bottled finals. Serie A might become the league that always comes short, and they probably would have supporters because "come on, they deserve to win every once in a while"
    5) I mentioned Klopp's era, but, in this timeline, it means that *Manchester United would not won a League title in 60 years* and it's something so wild. They would probably end up being seen like those teams who were giants in the late 1800s and early 1900s and then almost "vanished". Some might point out how they pretty much only had times of greatness when they had coaches who lasted over 20 years with them, and ended up becoming Sir (Busby and Ferguson)
    6) You did it because of simplicity, but I love the idea of a "British" League that's just England, the Old Firm and a couple more teams from elsewhere. They'd probably just see it as a "glorified Premier League" outside of England

    It would be interesting to sim a league where any club who has ever talked about forming a super league all leave their current leagues to go and start it.
    From there, the teams at the top of the table of the division below move up to replace them in the league above and so on. Then we see which teams can establish themselves as the new powerhouses

    I assumed you had to cut a lot of things due to the video being almost an hour long, so it's not going to be criticism, but here's some things I wish this save would have shown:
    1) Since this League coexists with the Premier League, what happened there? Which English teams dominated? I mean, for most of the save, it showed that the Premier League was still the 7th-8th best League in Europe, so how were they so consistent?
    2) What was going on across all 4 leagues? I feel like something really intense and crazy was happening, maybe epic climbs to the top spot, or epic falls or something
    3) The cups seemed to be more competitive, and every English team in Europe did pretty well, so it would have been nice to see what was going on
    Again, sorry for this, and I understand this video was way too long

    • @FMChallenger
      @FMChallenger  4 місяці тому

      Thank you for the comment, no need to apologise mate 😀 a) The English League or any other league is not part of the video, this is purely about the super league, domestic cups and Europe only.
      b) I agree with number two but again keeping a solid eye on all 42 teams is too much (Cardiff btw did the greatest climb, started in the fourth division and ended up winning 3 europa leagues)
      c) I did show europe constantly and thats why the video was longer than usual. You hit the nail on the head though because with all the information I could say the video would be four hours long and no one will be watching that so some things need to be cut unfortunately.
