Good to see you carry. 2A!
It's been so long! Glad to have you back Harry! 😁
Have you tried just using latex paint?
And/or oil? I have used motor oil in cement/adobe mixes to make a phenomenal stucco that dries slow, never cracks, sticks better, works up smoother and sheds water!
Got the trick from an adobe artist who mixed in linseed oil. I was poor so I used free used motor oil.
Thanks Harry.
My Pleasure Sam!
Appreciate you 👍
Nice job Harry!... Good to have you back!
Love Air Crete Harry, Diana, and Freedom!!!
Hey! Good to see ya still kicking around out there:)
Thank you Harry, good to see an upload. Glad the weather has changed for the better to begin your processes. No more snow in the forecast right ;- ))
Glad to see you are still at it. All the best to ya
Thanks for the experiment. I will try this with my ferrocement.
Good to see you again always great video s work never stops you always make it look so easy thanks a bunch ehhh
Interesting to learn that it is possible to improve the flowability and workability of cement just by adding such a small amount of additive! For those of use not yet experienced in such examples, this is really useful!! Thank you!
You are very Welcome Michael!! 👍 👍
Knowledge is Power - and great benefit to All of us!
Glad you are back! You need to post more often my friend. What is new on your homestead?
Cool!
I was hoping to see an update on your homestead construction. It's been a while since we heard from you! Maybe soon!
I've always used Jello as the easy comparison for cement hydration. It's hard for folks to wrap their head around the idea that the mix cures and becomes hard, as opposed to dries out and becomes hard.
Jello, everyone seems to understand right away no matter what.
Harry, have you tried the plasticizer with aircrete yet? If so what's your experience? Thanks for the video!
I have but you need the right type of plasticizer to use with aircrete. Most will flatten your Aircrete.
@@AircreteHarry Can you please share with us the type of plasticizer and what you are making your foam out of to make sure we don't get flat aircrete?
Harry, will you be making your recipes available for us that have bought the EPIC mix recipes? I'm looking to bond between EPIC preformed sections keeping the bond solid, tight and in the end as water proof as possible.
Love to Both of You
Thank you for the demonstration Harry! How is Honey Do Carpenter doing?
Where you been 'Har nice to hear your voice again
So what did you use the cement on?
Or did it just go to waste?
How would aircrete work as a formed 2-rail farm fence post with two feet under ground?
Hi. I cant find the viseo where you added the baking soda. How much do you add per gallon of water?
We add it to the water.
Plastesizer is dope! I used a powder form I found on Amazon. Where is a good place to buy these 5 gallon buckets?
Welcome to the channel 👍
You may do a search for:
Sika ViscoCrete - 4100
It may be available localy or online.
Thank you for this, would the spraying of an airform with concrete work with a hoop house as the form or would that not hold?
It should work fine.
If you add the plasticizers to the water first it will distribute more evenly. Have you tried the fiber reinforcement in your aircrete?
Algorithm boost
Harry, at 8:20 you talk about the using the Sika ViscoCrete-4100 with a bonding agent. Which bonding agent have you found works best?
Sika Acrylic Latex Bonding Agent.
@@AircreteHarry Thank you
I haven't seen where anyone has used superfines such as Fly Ash. Why wouldn't it work to use 1/2 to 3/4 of FA to 1 of cement? Seems like it would be stronger and still aerate well.
We would love to try fly ash, but can't find anyone that sells it.
You ever try any polyurethane mixtures!!!!!
No, the idea for me is to be conscious of the budget / cost. Adding it would increase the cost. Have you done any experiments you'd like to share yourself?
not all super plasticisers are the same, thats why Sika make quite a few variants. Read the product Data sheet first.
I tried super plasticisor and it collasped all the foam and I got a solid block of concrete 😟
Plasticizer is not for Aircrete.
Man please mark here the name of the products !Y can t hear you man what you talking there !The sound is so low...Thx!
Welcome to the channel 👍
The product is called:
Sika ViscoCrete 4100
Plastisizer takes about 10 minutes to start working bro.
lol... no it dosnt.
Cool thanks man but FYI your hand gesture means "fuck you" peace ✌ looks like that...palm facing your listener.
I never hear of that before. One middle finger means FY. Not two
@@AircreteHarrywell you are at least aware that your gesture is reversed yes?? Which has never been the sign of peace and in britain and throughout the commonwealth countries your reversed gesture means fy and therefore a very offensive gesture.
Very poor demonstration! You should put side by side 2 barrels. One with water , other with that sika you advertize... and we would see difference without guessing or assuring us?
G’day Harry, Nice to hear from you again. What a shame you blew your mix up, the way you put the plasticiser in mid mix, on a dry run mix. Then adding more water... just, well... blew the mix up... Kinda turned it into the ‘funny business’ you so tried so hard to avoid. BTW I know what you were saying about the mix was correct. Kinda.. Do what I say, not what I do. Sorry mate, it was a thumbs down on this one.
