  • www.puamethod.c... learn how to pick up like Russell Brand here.
    Comedian Dawn French interviewing Comedian Russell Brand.
    I'd recommend this interview to anyone who still thinks of him as "that annoying loud bloke from Big Brother". There's not much of his usual madness here. Instead, what you'll find is an amazingly detailed interview which provides insight into his comedy, his background and his life. It really broke down my perception of him when I first watched it. Fantastic interview.

    I agree, I love this Russell. I mean, I love him when he's being all funny, but seeing him all sincere and poetic makes me love him even more. xxx

    Who saw his brilliant special standup on comedy central?Wasnt he marvalous!!!
    I was so proud of him,especially now that I have red parts of his Booky Wook.
    Buy it and see what he has come though to get to where he is and youll just love him all the more.

    I believe everything he says - he is perhaps the most transparent man and that could be why he is so funny, because he can express every little detail perfectly in ways which I atleast tend to skim over.

    Interesting to see him quiet and calm since his act tends to be so high energy.

    "the interviewer... i didnt care for much and kinda ignored her but at about 6:00 i resent her... "what happens in your head when you perform, do you know?" i hated that question..."
    I felt exactly the opposite. (1) She's one of few female interviews I've seen of Brand where the interviewer seemed to be flirting with him or bemused with him; she's very relaxed and direct and comfortable in her own skin, and seemingly puts him at ease. (2) It's a great question.

    though the words I fell in love with his soul. I almost adore him more when he is not funny, when he ist just honest and true about the world. You can see, that there is a very sad kid inside of him.

    I agree. I love to make people laugh too. and he is right on, on a lot of things that he says. like when he was talking about having a persona on stage and things like that,and how that is the only place you can really let yourself loose, and how you are refined in public.
    I love his fast witted comedy. he is intelligent when he speaks and is intelligent about the jokes that he makes

    He's got the craziness of a genius. and it scares me to say i really relate to alot of things he describes. I'm not claiming to be a genius, the speed of his thoughts and the way he processes them really strikes a chord with m. I can't stand him but i can suddenly relate to him.

  • @LightPathWarrior
    @LightPathWarrior 12 років тому +1

    Don't subscribe to "group think". Think for yourself. If you relate to him, ask yourself why you couldn't stand him previously. Perhaps he has truly great characteristics regardless of his faults and failings. He is, after all, human...quite like you!

    Maybe he enjoys his teacher like role because his childhood was so uncontrolled, and feels that comedy is the only aspect of his life that he can easily manage.

    Im male, and 100% straight, im in a strong relationship.
    I think russell brand in really intelligent, ive been reading his books, watching him speak and talk on his programs simple to learn from him, iv been trying to adopt his way of speeking. He has almost made it 'cool' to use strong language. (in response to gavbag1234)

    What people need to see, and what I have only recently come to learn, is that he does do and present many respectable things. He's a vegetarian, h speaks against racism and homophobia, etc. Often, his sex obsession overshadows everything else, but it shouldn't.

    @gavbag1234 you say that women's judgement is clouded by their sexual attraction...that females who consider Brand intelligent do so because we are sexually attracted to him and thereafter have no further ability to judge character because our thinking is somehow clouded. I take offence to your comments. I am educated and experienced. I enjoy irreverent comedy and judge him intelligent without being sexually attracted. Didn't tell you not to share, just find your comment unfounded and ridiculous

    I love the comments. He's good-looking so people start to talk about him as though he's amazingly intelligent after that fact.
    There are smarter people, there are more insightful people.
    He's a clever, insightful man. But look at the statistics, most popular with females, no men in there at all.
    So you have to wonder is this a coincidence?

    why cant more men have this level of love for fun and life and a sence of joy???I think this is the winning formula that Sir Russ has and that we rarly see in men as well as women.his child like quality is the draw with me,truley it is more important than say money or being beautiful.just my thoughts on this.what do you think?

    Well I have no issue with Russell, I think he's a lovely clever guy. The problem I have is with the way women think of him, since they let sexual attraction cloud their judge of character, then we all hear about what happens when this goes wrong. They say all men are assholes and so on.
    But yeah, I digress. I agree with you entirely also.

    Wait a second, so you think that because YOU'RE educated and experienced and because you're not inclined to make such a mistake that nobody is? Frankly I don't care what you find offensive, what I'm stating here is a view I have on human beings and their tendencies to ignore vital information. It's not a certainty, and it's not a sweeping statement, it's just an observation of a few comments on this video.

  • @gavbag1234
    @gavbag1234 14 років тому

    Well max, I don't want to be pedantic here. But nobody is 100% straight. 2nd of all don't adopt anybodies way of speaking, if you learn to develop your vocabulary you'll naturally develop a way of using your own manners of speaking.
    Along this note you'll actually also realise people rarely think it is cool to use what many call "big" words. I have found myself realizing the best means of expressing something, then use more common words for the sake of not being laughed at. Its far from cool

    Woah, woah woah. You realise you're talking to a real person here? It's quite impressive that you could make that number of statements about someone and include in those statements an accusation of being obnoxious...
    I don't think I'm going to continue this, I'm not a sexist, or misogynistic, I'm here to talk to people an share ideas, and I think you're being pretty childish. If the goal is to brand me whatever class of "bad", then be my guest, but I'm not participating.

    Hooray for internet arguments. Yet again proving how the human race is like a pack of lions, viciously defending off their pride (of which they are very proud) in a stubborn show of what the lions think to be bravery, but more intelligent creatures realise as foolishness. There really is no point in insulting strangers online...

    I like to think that I'm welcome to share what I think, dear. Believe it or not I like that people can come and disagree with me, but I really don't appreciate being told not to share what I think. I don't think the world needs any more reticence.
