SA citizens are queuing right now on the various social development centers for their UIF's and the online system does not work, consultants do not communicate when the system is down. In fact the system is mostly down. There are various corruption charges against multiple officials at DSD so what is the former Minister talking about a job well done? Our journalists are not investigating these departments and its officials. Mind you all this info about challenges experienced in our departments is public knowledge. What happened to investigative journalism? The R350 is the reason why we have seen a rise in homelessness and drug use in our country. Our departments need to do population data research before they start any project! Bcoz it is dark in here. We might find ourselves faced with the same problems 30 years from now. The grant is allocated to the department of social grant ,there is nothing the minister can do if the treasurer decide to allocate a small amount.The minister can only try to convince the treasurer to increase the different pensions but it's up too the treasurer.He is the one to blame for the amount he allocates.
