I was a big fan of terrance trent d'arby and this gentleman just fell off the map until I started to search in youtube recently I was so happy to see him and the transformation plus the concious change in music.
I wish he was over in the states performing his voice is like liquid gold. The perfect mixture of Sam Cooke, Otis Redding and Jackie Wilson with something magical I can't put my finger on, such a gift to the world... best voice ever this is singing😊 if he comes stateside ever again, I'm there!!!!!
I was being selfish, when i was asking Sananda to come back to America. This man dreams were shattered by the labels, that wanted to box him in. I also realize that this beautiful man can not look back! Their's no life to Terrance Trent Darb'y. We need to understand this ! Sananda has a life and he feels blessed and loved with his beautiful wife and children. The new sound did take a moment and once i understood, what needed to happen for him to continue with the realationship of his first love. Sananda has heard our cries and had grace us with the old sound that many of us had fallen in love with. To ask him to revisit a time of which he as Sananda knows nothing of. We can thank him as he does send us a post card of love. We love you more Sananda ,for such a special gift. Much love and respect. We love you still!
Terence Trenty Darby back in the day was and still is a great talent Sananda Maitrey. The music industry sees great talent and enjoys it, but still wants to bottle something were are already sold on. You may friend are an Icon.
I was just plinking out "who's loving you" on my guitar and remembering this man, and what an influence he was to me in stretching my vocals range. I must've listened to the hardline album (on cassette) hundreds of times when I was in the army. What an album! I'm glad to see you're still playin man. You chose the right path and never sold out to the record companies and became another in a long list of massive failures, lives ruined and dreams broken. Limitless talent like this is hard to find. You are a musicians musician...
Introducing the Hardline was the first LP I ever bought... After all these years, his voice is still in great shape... Please Please Please, go on tour!
Oh yes!, I wondered what happened to this amazing artist, there was a bit of a scandal here in the UK and he disappeared, a great artist and performer we should see him more, he has a fantastic voice
I apologize for my English. Not heard of the author 26 years. There were reasons to think : "what made me happy in my 18 years?". One of the reasons is stylish and inspiring music of the author. And what's with this music were associated with bright moments of my life. There's something in his voice that is rare and the author has a particularly stylish pronounced. Of course, I was very much surprised by the changes in the name and image of the author (90 years). I was not very impressed with the rock, but I find some songs from the new period of very deep, stylish and unlike anything else. I wish the author a long life and become a living legend! (maybe you did already) And a couple of gentle hits with the same beautiful rhythmic passages as in "Sign Your Name" for us.
I always wondered what happen to him. Dat voice!!!! Dat face! Back when he was up and coming I saw him as the next superstar here in the US. Wish he would of hung around here:) I'm hoping to find some of his new music and add it to my collection. Such a great talent.

Need I say more? I love his lifestyle and energy and think this is what really matters to him, music and a good life. In Italy 🌸. Without all the other bull shit...
So Federico Elvis will be 5 this 25th of October? Buon Compleanno! :) Missed this father's singing but happy he is still around singing and performing & has a happy family life
