- A few weeks ago, we met Jeffrey Shanks and Dr. Michael Russo, archeologists working with the Southeast Archeological Center (blog.wfsu.org/blog-coastal-hea.... They've been excavating sites in the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, where culture groups known as Swift Creek and Weeden Island lived over a thousand years ago.
In today's segment, we look at how they used their knowledge to predict the location of a village here.
