Pakistan | Pir Chattal, Camels & Jhal Magsi Rally Race in Balochistan

- The idea to explore Balochistan's Jhal Magsi region was quite literally inspired by a mystical oasis I saw in a "best of Balochistan" article a few months ago and fell in love with. Pir Chattal Noorani Gandhawa is like a cross between something out of an ancient Roman fantasy and a magical place from Avatar. It is a MUST VISIT spot for anyone travelling not only Balochistan, but I would say for anyone travelling Pakistan because it's now on my Top 5 List of things to see in the country. In addition to the magical oasis of Pir Chattal, I'll also show you the famous annual event that takes place there: the Jhal Magsi Desert Challenge rally race. We'll spend time with hundreds of camels. And I have a couple of "this would seriously only happen in Jhal Magsi" stories to share. Given that this region is tribal-led and not governed in the same traditional ways we all expect districts and provinces to be run, it makes for some crazy stories from my days spent as a solo female traveller in Jhal Magsi!
I had a wonderful time exploring Jhal Magsi. They aren't quite setup for tourism yet but you can camp, which I would 100% recommend. Just please respect the environment and always remove everything you bring with you to keep this pretty land as lovely as it is today.
If you missed my first video where I explored mosques, tombs, shrines, and the pretty Moola River, watch it here: • Balochistan, Pakistan ...

Always so happy to hear that :-)
Waoooooooo beautiful 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳😎😍
@Haris hell no!
Wat a beautiful place is balochistan
Like fantasy
After travelling all of Balochistan please visit our beautiful KPK.
The little oasis you visited looked like something out of an Avatar movie, like you said. It didn’t look like reality. More like a secret hideaway. Thanks for entertaining us. Now, I’m as much a sightseer as you, and enjoying it.
Great footage! Camel with bling so cute🥺 He must be loved by his owner.
I think so too! must be one they ride, right? With the fancy hair cut too!
What is bling*
OMG so many camels so nice and beautiful this place in balochistan we love your video God bless you
lol Angela your poor drones! that water and scene was lovely! Your stories were awesome and sound typical of Pakistan. Traffic stopped for VIPs, and the supply of hot food.
hahha yeah I need to be much more careful with my babies! I went almost 6 months with no accidents and then 2x in one week !!
Love from Qatar 🇶🇦 🇵🇰
Love your videos be safe , see you in your next video 👍
Thanks! You too!
Pakistan jinda bad
I have just start watching video but already clicked like as I know I always like ALL your videos esp the ones from beautiful Balochistan, Pakistan.
Hello Mahmood Sahab, Adaab...Do you remember me?
That is super kind, thanks Mahmood :-)
Beautiful shadow of d palm tree in d oasis.
Dear Angela you are doing excellent job in presenting Pakistan to us and to the world I request you to please cover whole northern areas of Pakistan too because so far Eva zu beck has covered it very nicely but still not fully i would love to see it through your way as you are not just a great vloger but an excellent teacher too !!
I appreciate the recommendation but it's so cold up there and I'm just not as happy travelling just to see pretty landscapes as I am to explore historic sites or review hotels. The only way I see myself doing it is to review the 5 star hotels.... (sorry :-(
@@AngelaCarson that's perfectly fine whatever you are doing is just super nice thanks
@@AngelaCarson Angela, I second Ateeb. I think you'll have an awesome time in the North. Plenty history there too, and temp will be fine in the summer. Am sure in great Angela fashion, you'll find places we've not heard of and now, want to visit!.... Anyway, you go when your heart is in it.
@@frehatipu9187 That's very kind. Just ... it's still really cold up there! haha I"m from the desert. I only go to the mountains to go snow skiing, not for pleasure to travel. My whole life I've sought out warm places for travel ... I know it's pretty but until it's warmer, it still has no draw for me :-(
I am pretty much like you Angela, I prefer warmer places with "water" on them or at least a swimming pool. .. so I am enjoying so much your Balochistan vlogs! !😍💓💓💓💓💓💓
This place was already in my mind to travel inn sha Allah I'll visit one day👍🤗
Pir Chattal is now in my TOP 5 places to visit in Pakistan, just wait 'til you see it ❤️
UPDATE: I am going back to Balochistan next week and can't wait to show my support following the tragic terrorist attack at the Quetta Serena Hotel. That incident broke my heart for the families of the victims. It is also gutwrenching to imagine the negative impact this has on the forward progress of tourism for Balochistan :-(

I am so happy that you beautifully cover Baluchistan. When everyone talking and promoting beauty of Northern Areas sometime feels that there is no beauty in Southern Areas but actually diverse beauty of Southern part is unmatched but it is not rightly promoted. Thank you to cover this region so that people know that beauty is spread from North to South. Excellent vlog. Thank you
This is jhal magsi my beloved city ❤️
3:16 awwww have you seen this 😍
the little goat? :-)
Wow very interesting vlog
You should start facebook page post your videos there so that most people watch your videos and reach to your UA-cam channel in that sense your subscribers will increase dramatically and high number of people will watch the beauty of Pakistan.

I did see huge number of camels before and drone shot of jeep rally was amazing
That beautiful pond Jhal Magsi is a very tiny one, I think they should increase its area. I enjoyed the story where you met the DC. BTW Your hairstyle and color look fantastic.

Love from Pakistan...🇵🇰
Hi Angela - love watching your videos - Iam planning a year long trip to India next year. As an older solo gay traveller I was not sure about Pakistan, but your videos have convinced me to go for a month, planning to travel from Islamabad down to Karachi . Not too sure about Balochistan as yet due to the security issues - but your videos have shown such friendly people and I love the historic sites - watching with interest. - please stay safe - Daniel from Australia.
Hey Daniel, feel free to message me on IG or FB with any questions you might have. I lived 3 years in India and had gay friends there that had to be very careful so please do be careful in India as well. As far as Pakistan, that initial trip I did from Islamabad down to Karachi by bus and train and road was such fun. There were a couple of forts I missed in Sindh (the south) so make sure you hit them all, truly special. You'll love it!
@@AngelaCarson Will follow on FB. Thanks so much for showing life in Pakistan - looking forward to visiting.
Much love to ya ❤❤
Nice beutifull place
Love to watching amazing Pakistan and cute Angela

Loved the story of the stopped traffic to meet the dc.
Wow so crystal clear water 😍😍😍 is it allowed to swim in there? I wouldn't stand 45 degrees without getting into the water.
Truly amazing oasis/pond in desert
dear Angela....being a pakistani i explore such a hidden beauty through ur camera lense .....i do appriciate ur effort and thank you very much......!!!!
Visit upper balochistan like Zhob district and koh-e-suleman mountain ranges. Those are also incredible areas.
Zhob was on my list and approved in my last NOC but it's such a long distance from Quetta I just couldn't get myself up for the long day. Need to sort somewhere to stay next time (that's approved for NOC) so I can stay 1 night. But yeah, those places are on my radar :-)
What amazing place
thanks for sharing such a rare beauty of pakistan
Wowww amazing 👏😍what a stunning place thanx a lot ❤for sharing it love from Canada
Glad you enjoyed it - so much beauty in Balochistan
That DC incident is shameful for whole nation but may be that was the coolest stunt for DC himself...
He looks young atleast he should change that particular VIP mafia style....
Just amazing
Every thing is pure and natural 🚵♀️🚵♂️

Those are limits set by Allah: those who obey Allah and His Messenger will be admitted to Gardens with rivers flowing beneath, to abide therein (for ever) and that will be the supreme achievement.
Quran 4:13
If this is beautiful imagine what Allah has created in Heaven.
Hahaha wow what a story nice!
Right?!
A beautiful place
Great video
Hello and Bonjour Angela, I am really glad to see you in Pakistan especially in Balochistan province. Pakistan is full of beautiful destinations and tourists sports. I suggest you please visit Swat and chitral districts of Khyber Pakhtunkwa province. Please visit also Peshawar I hope you will love.
Thank you merçi beaucoup
When I lived in Barcelona 12 years, the only times I visited the mountains were to go skiing (Chamonix, Pyrenees), same in California. I know it's pretty up there but it's cold. I will go some day but just to review the remaining 5-star hotels as that is the only region I have left to review hotels in ;-)
❣💐
Thanks for this wonderful video.
So nice of you, Yasin. Hope you're having a great weekend.
@@AngelaCarson Thank u. Hoped u have had a good weekend too. 😁

I would like welcome u in my village swat valley
It's too cold up there still hehe I was born in the desert, not visiting until it's warmer please ;-)
@@AngelaCarson hehe 😅 oh come on weather is fine here please visit here because our swat valley is very beautiful
@@angelabubakarazam2034 It is cold as hell there still compared to other parts of PK. I only go to the mountains for snow skiing or to review 5-star hotels ... so unless I can review a couple of hotels I am just not interested until it gets warmer ;-)
@@AngelaCarson OK dear whenever u want to come always welcome 🤗🤗
🇵🇰❤
🙏🙏🙏🙏😊😊👏👏👏👏❤️
madam, that is the reason that we, the people of balochistan, are 1000 years backward than other other nations. the DC was supposed to follow the rule but he stopped the traffic. you should have protested and asked the Dc to meet you somewhere else and not bothering the folks
So many camels? Who owns it?
That DC was Rajnikant of Jalmagsi Balochistab Pakistan. may be he was trying to impress you or hitting on you hahahahaha
It’s funny to see your meeting in the Center of the road with Deputy Commissioner Jal Magsi 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Ma’am it’s Pakistan you can expect anything here 😂😂😂😂😂😂.
😂
haha so true :-)
Are you ok from your blepharoplasty now? You didn’t posted anything about it.
I watched videos make you beautiful Above you are beautiful too 😘
