A question (if you're still checking on this video); what do you think of using streaming as a lead in to a new video? So, stream for 2 hours on your main content, but then toward the end (or throughout the stream) mention you have a new video going live at the end of the stream, stick around and watch it (or even premier it?) to maybe help with that initial bump that could get it going? I really like the idea of unlisting a VOD, but then creating either a synopsis "this is what happened on stream" or a short series of 2-3 minute clips to maybe help with "session" viewing.

I get the unlisting of the vod but then it doesn't count as watch time for you channel. Isn't that important for growth? I'm curious on your thoughts of it.
If you’re doing videos regularly anyway (which is why you’d want to unlisted the VODs) then you just earn those watch hours through your normal videos.
This is great news. I’ve been wary of trying to go live to play music and mess up my algorithm since I’m still a baby channel but this sounds like a good idea to leave it unlisted. Thank you! 🙏😊
The simple answer is both no and kind of. UA-cam's algorithm tries to recommend your channel based off its videos. But the way they have it set up it recognizes that people watching videos and those who watch live streams as two separate groups. So when you start to live stream on an older channel with just normal videos it f**** with the algorithm and it believes you are trying to get a whole new viewer base so it stops recommending your normal videos and start trying to push you towards more live streaming viewers. But because you don't have that many live streams it doesn't know who to recommend you to so your views slowly start to go down. The way to undo this is do both live streams and normal videos and eventually your channel will go back to where it was.
@@EposVox won't you lose the views from the channel though? So I get like 500 views on a stream if I then unlist the video of the stream after won't I lose the wtach time and views?
