Actually I enjoyed the "I was there first!" kind of fight between Sorey n Mikleo... but this SECOND version is REALLY GOOD because it adds meaning to their relationship... like the first translation is like Sorey teasing and showing off who's better... But the SECOND translation is more PERSONAL because it means Sorey would go anywhere if Mikleo suggested it--like he's teasing Mikleo but there's more to it... like he's saying "I love the ruins too" but part of the reason is, "I enjoy going there because you want the same thing..." and it's the same relationship we see in the game... Remember that part when Sorey was with Lailah in the Galahad ruins and she noticed Sorey wasn't interested in the ruins because maybe Mikleo wasn't with them (he and Mikleo just had a fight)? And when he went back to the ruins with Alisha n Lailah, NOT once did he talk about the ruins or his n Mikleo's discoveries with Alisha (same with Lailah, Sorey doesn't answer her questions properly about Mikleo... like some part of his relationship with Mikleo will ALWAYS be private... even in the anime version, Sorey thinks about Mikleo but doesn't say it out loud to either Alisha or Lailah even when Alisha was asking about his childhood or when Lailah guesses he's thinking of Mikleo while looking at the full moon). So this retranslation shows and confirms a little bit of Sorey's PRIVATE RELATIONSHIP with Mikleo in the game and anime... his LOYALTY and how deeply things matter to him if he can share it with Mikleo... More than just being best friends, it's pure, unconditional love... like soulmates who CAN'T stay apart from each other. And the fact that he remembers tiny details of his and Mikleo's past ALL the time in this CD only puts even more meaning into Sorey's "MIKLEO... FROM NOW ON, BE TOGETHER..." The fact that all these "subtle" CONFESSIONS were coming from Sorey confirms my first impressions when I first played the game... that Sorey was the more loyal and attached, actually, and Mikleo is REALLY the one who is loved MORE? Ha ha... but that's just my impression. THANKS SO MUCH and so sorry for the long (cough cough) speech... I LOVE THIS, have a great week! ^_^
I agree! It's like the saying "when something's too close you almost don't see it? Or the saying "what is familiar is invisible?" That applies to Sorey I think. Mikleo is always "so close" he doesn't have to look to know Mikleo's there... and yeah, I remember that scene when Sorey calls out Alisha first when she and Mikleo got hurt... (I also hated it at first, yeah, ha ha ) But I think Sorey is JUST acting "normal" there... like when we sometimes pay attention to others rather than our own friends esp. when we don't want others to think we're insensitive (like I prefer my sister to my cousin but when they argue I take my cousin's side always becoz I don't want her to think I'm ignoring her or being unfair). With the height joke, Sorey also took Alisha's side, but when Edna was picking on Alisha, it was Mikleo who took Alisha's side. And between Lailah n Rose (Lailah annoyed at Rose calling seraphim creepy) Sorey just asked Lailah to let it go--same case with Mikleo n Alisha. So I think Sorey is closer to Mikleo n Lailah but becoz of that, he knows they won't FEEL LEFT OUT even if he takes the side of the other person... and you're right too... Alisha is definitely weaker than Mikleo n more vulnerable, after all, Mikleo has healing artes... (Oh but the one with Edna, Sorey definitely apologized for Mikleo n Edna was pissed--like, NOT YOU, Sorey! And when she got pissed with Mikleo's teasing she poked Sorey with the parasol, like her mind is saying, "you're boyfriend's fault, stupid!"). I love the subtle dynamics of the relationship, like you don't really see it in the open. There are like hints but more than enough to confirm that there's something MORE behind the friendship. And I like that becoz Sorey may not be a good liar but in this CD we find out SOREY LOVES KEEPING SECRETS, right, esp with Mikleo? It's like ToZ writers telling us, hey, we can only say so much becoz a secret is a secret, it's private just between Sorey n Mikleo. We only see bits n pieces becoz that's how SorMik wants it! THANKS and I ENJOYED THIS SO MUCH! OH AND I DON'T MIND BEING SPOILED! WHAT DID SOREY PROPOSE? HA, ha I can't wait to hear about it!
