Its Tongan language week here in NZ and the theme is - Fakakoloa 'o Aotearoa 'aki 'etau lea mo e hiva fakatonga - enriching Aotearoa with Tongan language and music.
My great grand father ( my dad's father ) was a dancer ..a musician and he did choreography My grandfather did the same ...followed his father's footstep
Is Tonga music alive in NZ? is this a trick question; OFCOURSE IT IS! Way too much Tongans living here legally nd illegally. Most of South Auckland's slang is Tongan and not too many are aware that the slang they say derives off Tongan culture LOL.
