Amazing. Not one extra note. Pure soul. Gave me goosebumps.
Thanks a lot Dennis. I appreciate that.
The best harp blues solo I've ever heard. Bending for vibrato and then bending from below into the held notes, Jesus (seriously no disrespect you all). Tongue block octaves of course, but even some of these are bent. Sax growling. Had my wife listen, a woman who will never utter a curse word EVER, and I thought she almost did. That's how good this is.
Thanks man. That’s probably the nicest compliment I’ve ever got. Much appreciated!
Raw emotion...
Oh how I L O V E this ! Heart and Soul...lots of it.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing you at Hornby this May and taking a couple of your workshops.
Awesome. Looking forward to it myself. Should be a blast.
June 15, 2022,.......I just discovered you,....a few days ago. Ever since, I'm into a weeks-long bender. Roly Platt, morning, noon and night. Every waking minute my ears & senses are being delighted by your great performances. Bravo!
Thanks Very much Dave.
Heart and SOUL!
This man Roly Platt can really
Blow Harmonica
FANTASTICALLY
Thanks Betty!
Thank you
Great sounds and techniques.
thanks a lot
Wow, astonishing harp moves
Thanks a lot man.
Everything wonderful, especially the tongue blocking, comping and all around snarl growl. Don’t discard 2nd position minor blues compared to 3rd and 4th position. Thanks for the inspiration Roly.
Glad you like it. And I agree.
Could listen to you forever
Becoming one of my favorites
Amazing player. thank you Roly !
Many thanks!
Killer, perfect mood and restraint
Inspiring. Great tone.
thx John!
so sweet! love it!
thx Dirk
So cool and sassy Roly! I should take lessons from you 😎
Sorry, I'm all booked up lol.
So good!
Thank you!
❤
Bravo!!!
Amazing solo, just amazing! Your phrasing is on a whole other level. I feel like I should be able to steal all these licks from you in this video, but I only seem to get small bits here and there. I hear patterns and runs and your playing sounds simple, but I can’t seem to copy the licks, lol.
Thanks a lot Bill. That’s one of the nicest compliments I’ve ever received. You just described all the things I try to get better at!
RIGHT ON Roli !!!!
Thx Tom
Wonderful.
Thanks a lot Myles

@@RolyPlatt I'm a beginner, and I have a Hohner rocket harmonica A key. is it a good harmonica and key? thanks
@@arslongavitabrevis9032 Yes it is.
👏👍
Thanks Roly for the links and your brilliant feelin', 2nd position is that cross harp ? i admit those tunings are a bit too much for my brain and i'm playing for years now , just bought my first M7 at 52 ! i think i have to break into it for my personal sake, anyway this is beautiful
yes 2nd position is the same as "cross harp". Don't worry about that tuning - it's just one note that's nice to have sometimes. Reg. tuned harp will keep you busy enough : )
@@RolyPlatt Yes i can imagine , it's a long way... a BIG THANKS for your answer and 10000 bravos for your version of "The Cat " by the Great Jimmy Smith !! Would you try "Moanin'" and "Blues March" for our best pleasure ? (Surely already done )
You can always use a G minor harp
thc John
Roly i would love to hear a full album of your playing no singing no band input just you doing funk / slow blues
@@johnnyh112 Thx John.
I wish there was a through bio. on this guy. Nothing about his hometown,...his early roots or inspirations, family. In the USA,....no one with a public face, is an unknown,....We know many Canadians,.....or ex-pats,....Paul Shaffer, Alanis Morissette, Dan Aykroyd.
СССУПЕР😍👌👍
Он вообще не превзойденный
Hi Roly, what kind of mic do you use?
