Certs are mostly required for cloud partners jobs . Badge - no one really know what is it
This is not entirely true. Cloud certs are useful for large number of AWS jobs at partners and direct customers and even at AWS. Indeed badges are new, that’s the reason to get them now before they become popular (and they are free and non expiring!)
Thank you very much Raj. I had no clue about knowledge badges. Keep rocking and bringing us valuable content.
Big thanks for the detailed video! It really helped me practice and clear my first badge. 🎉 Keep up the fantastic work! 🌟
Glad it helped! And congrats on your first badge 🙌
Thank you Sir! It is a big relief. I haven't done a single certification and still was able to take my career to a fairly well stage. But all around the UA-cam and LinkedIn, certifications are being shown as an essential to move to cloud. It gave me a depression and a feeling of inferiority. I will definitely take these badges and I am confident I will be able to get the knowledge as i never cheat with learning. Thank you!
I’m a fresh Masters graduate and certified in Architect Pro and Dev Associates certs but not getting callbacks - apart from approaching the recruiters, do you have any tips for cloud interviews as in interview questions, LMR etc ??
@@AnupBhatt Reality is people need proper real world project experience in AWS
Thanks Raj ! Very helpful as always :)
Always welcome
Good Info Raj. Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
As always come up with new knowledge and ideas. Thanks Raj i will certainly try these badges. What about your mentoring course do you still take people for course for your new batch?
Thanks Rajdeep. This is good information.
Glad it was helpful
Thank you Raj! I’ve collected the EKS badge with your guidance. I’m planning on taking up other badges as well… Do you think these badges would help me in job hunting? I’ve moved to Canada recently and I’m searching for AWS Cloud Engineer/ DevOps jobs.
Yes for sure they'd help. Make sure to display these badges on your linkedin profile and your resume
Rocking Raj
Ty 🙌
I certainly would like something more focused, I work with integration, and to get one of those cloud certifications I have to deep dive in subjects that I barely see on the daily basis ... unfortunately, I don't have more the time or energy to cram for certifications ...
100%!! As a specialist myself, I hate spending time on services I never interact with. That's why I like these badges. Thankfully there is no pre-requisite for these specialized badges of having some certain cert first
Hello Raj, great content as always. Is aws Skillbuilder free for all? Isn't it subscription based?
It is free for these knowledge badges. There are other courses in skill builder (such as builder labs) which costs money.
Thank you!
Hi Raj, came across your channel today and must say, content is really helpful. Thanks. I am struggling to decide my career approach. Currently, I have 3+ experience in AWS Infrastructure support and have hands on few AWS services. Do I need to learn programming to become an architect? Which next certification should I aim after AWS solution architect? Thanks in advance.
Having the same doubt brother...If you got an answer for that tell me
Thanks for sharing this Information Raj, It's really helpful.
One Question - For Generic SA, what badges you prefer?
The Architecting one, and the Compute one
Thank you Raj. for everything you provided I love you tube always have got a lot from what you post today I have heard from you this time the job market is tough I almost done my preparation for the market what do think how long it takes to get the first job thank you Raj
Job market is indeed tough my friend. No one can tell how long it'd take to get a job, all you could do is give your best in preparation and keep trying. Best of luck my friend
Hey Raj, I got my AWS Professional Certificate recently. Should I still get these badges. I guess it only helps. Started my AWS SA job hunt. You are right we are in a tough job market. I will keep trying.
Ya man, job market is very tough. Just yesterday, there were a bunch more layoffs at big companies. Since these badges are free, I recommend get one and showcase in your profile. It definitely increases the chance of recruiter attention.
Raj,I enjoy your content.Thank you again.I am 46 at the NOC,can I still do AWS,which training do I follow?
Hey, there's no age limit on training my friend.
Select the badge you are interested in from here - www.credly.com/organizations/amazon-web-services/collections/customer-learning-programs/badge_templates. it'd take you to the relevant training. Age is just a number, keep going strong, keep learning and keep rocking 🙌🚀
Navigating the AWS skill builder site is a *frightmare*! Is there a link to what badges are actually offered?
Yes, here are the available badges: www.credly.com/organizations/amazon-web-services/collections/customer-learning-programs/badge_templates. I click the badge I am interested in from this list, and then it takes me to the relevant skill builder section.
@@cloudwithraj Thank you for that link, it is one step closer. However, from the credly site, unless I am missing something, there is no way to get to the actual course or path in the AWS training. Suppose I wanted to get the AWS Knowledge: Cloud Essentials badge - how could I navigate to the actual courses from credly?
@@kentestes192 from the list select the badge you are interested in , and then click the link under "Earning Criteria". That'd take you to the skillbuilder page.

Don't think, but you can try
Hey Raj, what happens if you fail? Do you have unlimited tries for the tests?
Yes, you can retry again
Hey Raj thank you the wonderful video I just completed the AWS cloud essentials and i got 90+ ❤❤
Will it take time to receive the badge? If so how long will it take im eagerly waiting to put it in my linkedin
Congrats!! You will get the badge within 24 hours. Then you can share in LinkedIn.
Which badges do you think are the most universal/helpful?
Depends on the job but Cloud Essentials, Architecting, EKS, Networking, Serverless are the popular ones.

Nice 🙌
skill builder is not free!!
Ha? I was able to sign up using my google account without paying anything. The knowledge badge courses are free
Actually I was redirected to aws skill builder page where I suppose to a make an acoount and pay for subscription@@cloudwithraj
It has a free tier, more or less.
AWS SkillBuilder offers a lot of free courses, whole Learning Paths and AWS Knowledge Badges are also to get for free. Paid subscription to SkullBuilders offers more additional resources and Labs to practice.
