Why does TRE only carry 2 coaches unlike the usual 3/4 like it used to?

It still carry 3 but only in the weekdays i think

I think this is mostly because of adding more trains to the schedule over the years and likely easier to operate. 3 car sets still run most usually on week days while weekends are almost always 2 cars. Hope this helps!
