Believe it or not, landing in the sea is NOT an impossible thing to do as the person says in the lecture. In fact, the bulk of my seaplane flying has been on open water in the sea in the US, places around SE Asia and Maldives which has the World's largest seaplane operations between the islands and 100% of those flights are on the sea, no rivers or lakes there. Landing in seastate 1 or with 1 foot waves is easy, it is more challening with 2 and 3 sea states but that's what we teach and get pilots real time experience to operate in difficult conditions. I'm a commercial seaplane pilot since 2013 and commercial airplane pilot with pistons, turboprops and jets experience since 1986, and as an NTSB expert witness to a boat hull amphibian crash, I was experiencing some cringe moments watching this class. This is a course that is best taught by someone who has real seaplane experience on float and boat hull amphibians.

If helicopters are the safer alternative to whatever you happen to be doing, you have you ask yourself a few tough questions 🤓😅
hope you reported that burn to the NTSB
