I enjoyed your video for sure. Thank you for sharing I look forward to seeing what you make in the future. I had an Etsy shop in the past and I have a small yarn business online over in Washington. What I really love is knitting tutorials I'm not the best at reading patterns. So I would love to see you make up a video so I can follow along and make one. Especially sweaters

@@svenjaknits Thank you, and wishing you and your family a wonderful New Year!
I really like the selection/variety of things you are showing - you have great taste, and everything looks a little different! I also really appreciate that you provided links directly to all of the patterns you used AND created chapters in the video - all of those elements make it really easy for a viewer to pick and choose from your selection and then go off to make their own. Looking forward to more of your videos! 🥰
Thanks for the feedback and for watching! ❤️
Just found your channel/podcast and binged watched all the videos. 🙂Really love the patterns and yarns you are selecting. Looking forward to following you in the new year!
😄 Welcome!! Hoping to make many more for next year!
Hi Svenja!
Thank you for sharing your knitted projects. I love them all! I remember when you started knitting in 4th grade. You have grown into an amazing knitter. I’m so happy knitting brings you so much joy!❤
I learned from the best ❤️
That first hat is adorable!! What an impressive list of FOs 🥰
Why thank you so much!
The cardigan 😍😍😍
Just noticed your sweater ornament! Lol! My tree is full of them! That's my theme it is a Winter tree. Snowman ornaments in blue silver and snowflakes in gold. It's artificial in white and I love it!
Sounds like a beautiful tree! Hope you had a nice holiday ❤️
Another southern Maine knitter here. Love your podcast! You do beautiful work!
Oh hey there! Where are you from??
@@svenjaknits originally Nova Scotia but living in Cumberland for years now!
I love t he Ba Bable hat. I've knitted 4 so far and still not got one for myself! Great pattern!
Oh you have to knit one for yourself!! 🐑❤️

@@svenjaknits your welcome!
That was alot of beautiful work 😍, wow ! Your work is really beautiful ! I enjoyed seeing it all. I'm fairly new to knitting but I've crocheted since I was around 11 or 12. So I'm really enjoying knitting so much. New subbie here so I will see you next time !!
Thanks so much for joining!! ❤️
And i thought i can knitting 😂😂
So great work 👍looks all so beautiful 😍
Haha I’m a bit obsessed 🤩
Thank you for sharing!!! I really enjoy your videos. Love hearing what yarns were chosen and how they worked for you. Please keep more of the same coming! Maybe you would share how you choose the yarn for each project? The gauge? Did it grow when blocked? How you chose the size? I can knit all day 😂but struggle with the mechanics of it all 🤦🏻♀️😂
Those are great ideas for future content 😊 I could knit all day as well!
I love your knits! I just subscribed. Would be great in future videos seeing you try them on.
Oooh great idea! I’m learning more each and every episode 😊
Not even half way through your video and I added 3 patterns to my queue 😂😂😂
Fellow Maine knitter - so happy to find you!
Ohh hey! Where are you from?!
@@svenjaknits Up in the Lewiston-Auburn area:)
Wow! Awesome! I'm impressed! Everything is so beautiful! I really appreciate that you mention the yarn you used. I'm a Lettlopi lover too and I planned on buying some knitpicks yarns...it's nice to see the fabric that is obtained with these yarns. I want to knit a toddler version of a sweater I knitted for my son in Lettlopi. But I would like to use a more softer yarn. If you have some suggestions for a non-superwash Knitpicks yarn, pls let me know. Wish you safe and relaxing holiday season!
Thank you!! Knit Picks Wool of the Andes is a great option, very affordable and there is a superwash option too if you are knitting for children!
You should insert pictures of you wearing the garments. Thanx for sharing.
I love your color choices and everything you made, they're all gorgeous!!! I'm a little chicken when it comes to colorwork. What stitch was used in knitting your husbands cardigan? I like the texture on that.
Double moss stitch!
VERY NICE KNITTING! Great job... Question: What do you use to LABEL your work please? I saw a removable tag? Is that it... Where do you get them from, please. Thank you! Jane
Of course, it is from All This Wood on Etsy.
Hi beautiful awesome work 💟💖💟❤❤💛❤💛❤❤💛💗💞😍😍😍😍
I’m so glad your podcast came up on my UA-cam channel! We are also neighbors! I’m in South Portland!
Oh hey neighbor!! So happy to have you here!
@@svenjaknits I will go back and watch all your episodes in order! ❤️
Those are wonderful garments. Can you do a video with tips and tricks for colorwork? I am knitting my first colorwork sweater Avena by Jenn Steingass and love it, but it took me forever to do the joke. Any advice will be appreciated, as I have yarn in queue for more colorwork. Thanks.
That’s a great idea for a video! I will add it to my list!
Your knitting is beautiful. You must knit so fast to get all of that done. How long does a sweater typically take you to complete?
Thank you! It can take a few weeks to several months to finish a sweater.
You are driving me crazy. I want to knit them all. You are a beautiful knitter. Where do you get your leather tags?
Haha! It’s hard to not want to knit so many beautiful patterns out there. Tags are from an Etsy shop called All This Wood
When using Lettlopi unspun do you hold it double for worsted weight? All of your knits are beautiful!
Thank you! I hold Lettlopi single stranded.
Wow. You accomplished so much this year! I'm retired and can't seem to make that many knits. Question: Do you have a formula for pricing your knitwear to sell? I can't imagine making even minimum wage with all of the hours put into a sweater. I would love to sell knitwear but afraid it wouldn't be worth all the time. Especially for colorwork sweaters. Your knitwear is beautiful. Most of the patterns I already have on my list.
Haha I do love to knit! Good question about pricing - I have a rough formula I use that I found in a good book I have about selling handmade items. I’ll have to dig it out and send it to you! But you are generally right, it’s hard to charge what a hand knit is actually worth…
@@svenjaknits That would be great. I've read a few different ways to calculate. One being 3 times the cost of materials. You'd have to use commercial wool, for example from knitpicks, as using hand dyed would be off the charts. However, it still wouldn't cover labor.
Beautiful work! Would love to see a pic or 2 of each project actually being worn, to see fit, drape, etc. Hopefully in future videos? Merry Christmas!
Здравствуйте. Пуговицы на кофте не по центру планки потому что, Вы не учли припуск на шов.. Кромка получилась больше, чем та часть, которая обращена к полочке ( переду кофты)
I did not think of this! Thank you so much, that makes a lot of sense!
I loved seeing your knitting journey! You do excellent work! BTW...there is no such thing as "sewist". The term is "sew-er" and has been used in English since 1300AD.
Thanks for the info!
Hi fellow Mainer! Greetings from Gorham.
Oh hi neighbor!!
How can i find your Etsy shop?
Hi! The link to my Etsy shop is here: www.etsy.com/shop/svenjaknits However I do not currently have any knit garments for sale.
You do wonderful work, absolutely gorgeous BUT you making a smacking sound at the of just about every sentence is driving me NUTS
It’s a bad habit, drives me nuts too! I am working on it 😉
