I'm not sweating Holliday. Let him learn by failing at the big league level while the season is young and bats are hot. I would send him back down after the homestand and bring him back in a few weeks confident he'll have worked it out. No panic, the kid's got a bright future in the bigs.
Nah I think once they called him up it was for good like with Adley and even Gunnar through his struggles last year. Gunnar didn’t turn it around until June last year. I’d be willing to bet Holliday starts raking come May.
Hard to say whether they would send him down or not. On the one hand, many other Orioles who things have turned out more than okay with have been through that - Cedric, Grayson - but on the other, JH is a number one draft pick. I think he'll be okay eventually no matter what happens. I do hope this quiets a bit the constant insistence that we bring all 4 remaining prospects up from Norfolk immediately. I don't want Ryan O'Hearn going anywhere and he needs to be in our line-up if we make a deep run.
I totally agree…this is much better than watching Kemp not hit! But idk about sending him down, is there really anything else he needs to hit down there? He will start hitting MLB pitching, this probably the longest he’s struggled to hit his entire life…
Cowser, Henderson, and Westy all wanna be in the early MVP race apparently! O'Hearn & Mountcastle also off to good starts. Can't wait to see Holliday start putting it together and finding a stride at some point! I'm real close to thinking Hayes needs to be sacrificed to get Kjerstad up now.
Yeah he tried but the ball wasn't even close to his glove. There's at least 5 feet between the outfield wall and the fan wall, his arm's not that long 😂
@@realtexxxmancosplay seriously. The kid is 20 years old. And the only way he will get better against big league pitchers, is to get reps against them. I would say give him at least a few more weeks.
People seem to forget that both Adley and Gunnar both got off to slow starts when they got called up. Jackson will be fine and will catch fire and when he does yikes!!! Let's go O's

im curious to know the decision to call up Banuelos out of all the guys down in AAA when he is a catcher. he is a great player and a deserving call up, but why a catcher and not one of the other 8 beasts we have down in the minors that are possibly even better?
As a fan I am wondering when patience runs out for Holliday? Another month? He lloks like a boy among men. Not only is he struggling at the dish but he lacks polish in the field.
@@matrixphijr but I bet you were one of the people saying.. bring Holliday up! Why isn't he on the Opening Day roster? Now those same people who thought he was gonna be Superman, are the same ones making excuses, now that he flopped..
@@MattGatts You haters are legit insane. He’s played 6 major league games and you’re ready to call him a flop. It’s like you don’t realize the Orioles wouldn’t have Gunnar Henderson, Colton Cowser, Yennier Cano, Jacob Webb, or several other players if that’s how they operated. Honestly, I’d have rather had him on the OD roster than Tony Kemp, I think he’d be much further along in his development now. But his K/BB rate in the entire minor league system was 1:1, so again, judging him after 6 games in the majors is just bad fandom, if you’re even one at all.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one this time, saying that Holliday needs to go back down to Triple A. I said it a few days ago and it was like I was speaking Korean. Dude has been awful! I've never seen a worse start to a career..
Holliday 1-22 12 strikeouts. Needs to go back to minors. Give him a chance to develop, including fielding. Hurting team. Couple of Triple A players hitting great, in fact better than Holliday was hitting, with power in Triple A.

@@MattGatts you must just started watching ball if you really gonna say that. If you notice but probably not but he’s been seeing the ball more better. Today he got a walk and a fly ball out to left field almost a homer. Give him a month man y’all forgetting he’s the youngest kid in the league obviously he’s gonna be slow. We have no reason to call him down when we are winning while he’s learning. If we need to call anyone down it’s gotta be Urias or I really don’t wanna say this one but hays.

Finally a positive and thoughtfully worded comment about Holliday. It’s refreshing. I applaud you for not panicking like the rest of the fan base.

Am an O's and Bucs fan. Never thought the two could come together like this.
Bucs football or basketball
ryan o’hearn edits about to go crazy
Fasure I can see them comin
Man they're good and what depth. Threats all the way up and down the lineup
O'Hearn vs Buxton was not on my Bingo card for potential heavyweight hitter/fielder showdown.
Great to beat this team who in the past was a thorn to Orioles.
I love this team so much
o'hearn is underrated!!
O'hearn Cowser and westburg are really seeing the ball! Holliday is pressing but he'll be ok. Rodriguez has REALLY settled in
I was here, great atmosphere. The long balls just keep on coming.
You choose a good game hahaha

Baltimore Orioles, Your videos always brighten my day, so I subscribed!
This Pirates vs Mets game was crazy 😅
You gotta cut them a break sometimes. They crank these highlight videos out pretty fast.😅

Good thing this is the baltimore orioles page

This is why no lead is safe against the O's cause they can get hot and give you 5 plus runs in one inning out of nowhere 😂

Yes sir and this team really hasn't caught fire yet .
How scary can the O's be when you consider the fact they're averaging almost 6+ runs a game and they haven't really caught fire yet!!!
O's fans loudly "moo"ing a guy named Cowser will never not be funny to me.
