A bit of bragging:
In 1978, just South of Monroe on Elwell Creek, we had a 208 Washington on the edge of an 800' bluff,. With a shotgun carriage, we flew 4 skidder tonglines with 6-5/8 chokers on each. Our tail hold was out 3,000 feet to get lift at the back end about 1900' as I recall. We had a rigging slinger and 3 chokermen I was an extra, helping the Hooker make each road change. We had 2 Prentice 600s on the landing to handle the wood, along with a chaser and two second loaders. We rigged 4 extra guylines. With a minor effort, we could plug the landing while both shovels unraveled the turns. It was in second growth, the stand was about 90 years old. I have never seen anything like that since, we had a ball, lots of lift and small chokers.

Great footage as always Craig !
wow awsome vid !!!!
A few decades ago when Canfor had a massive long line running sky cars they had a spell of bad luck with cars hitting the ground due to various reasons. I didn't help the woods forman's day when I asked him if they were cheaper to buy by the 6 pack. Luckily I was on the road building crew so he couldn't get me back too badly! :)
Do you guys ever use a grapple on that machine? Looked like a good setting for it
That's pretty cool footage man
Very cool! Good stuff
Why set the Processor on the wrong side of the line besides that pretty cool vid
He sits there and process over to the Loader. Then stacked and loaded onto a truck for the mill.
