I like the shape of the boot you re-crafted!! The profile of that boot looks SO MUCH better - that wedge sole looks great and without the pull tab! Nice that Thursday gave you a free pair of boots. Not just anyone could have done what you did!!
I know everyone seems to love these boots on the internet, but every time I see the on someone it looks like they stole em from their wife’s closet, but to each, their own….or their wives.
I just got the Diplomats, in my true to size sneaker size/9.5. I find them too narrow for me. I was thinking about the Captains, or the Presidents, but am afraid they will be too narrow too. It's nice to know the Hero's are a bit wider, but I don't really like the outsoles. Your improvements are perfect!
I have their Stompers and the zipper failed after a week, Thursday did just fine with a return label and sent me another pair. Nice little deal you're offering for that other pair, including shipping. I'm also really liking the slight width increase and rounding off the toe just a bit. I'm not a huge fan of a pointed toe because I'm closer to an E width.
I have a pair of Thursday boots that fit too narrow on my foot. I have a normal width foot, too. Length is fine. I'm tempting to send them to you and have a new foot bed put in along with that sole like you put on your shoes. Mine are 10-1/2 too. Oh, you do nice work there and those turned out great looking. Thanks for sharing.
Just ordered one of the new wholecut chelseas in cacao from them. It look pretty promising. Full leather insole,counter and toe puff for 289. A full 90 dollars cheaper than Grant Stone. It will be interesting to see if their finishing can stand up to muster.
@@1985zebulon I doubt it, GS boots are way superior and I don’t think it’d be a fair comparison 😅😅 just kidding……..but let us know please 🙏 They seem to be very solid but I haven’t seen them in person, I’m not a big fan of the Chelsea style but I’ll probably buy a pair one day. I’ve seen their new stitch- Down line , just not for me !! Congrats!!!
@@AaronG2480 Yeah i didnt like the pointy last on the stitchdown challenger line. The Journeyman is similar but goodyear welted, they are even selling some in shinki cordovan for like 550$. It will be very interesting to see how they are.
