Captain yeet I just remembered scooby being jealous of Velma and Shaggy was in a live action Scooby Doo movie Curse of the lake monster except in that movie Velma didn't show any signs of jealousy back she really is more cynical here than she is in other adaptations. But just like in the movie dating within the team caused tension in the gang the same with Fred and Daphne which is why at the end of the movie The gang all agreed to stay just friends.
I wonder if Velma had a point when she said the reason the gang was having trouble working as a team anymore was because of the emotional turmoil happening. In the last season of avatar The last Airbender where toph and katara were arguing zuko joined the gang causing moments of distrust particularly from katara and when they went to that play where everyone took the opportunity to mock their character portrayals and aang was mad because katara was indecisive about her feelings for him even though she correctly pointed out that they were fighting a war and had other things to worry about it had me thinking how are any of these little kids supposed to save the world if they're so busy fighting each other and fighting a war or not they're still children and act as such but in the end they pulled through despite any grievances they might have had with each other so I might have been overreacting there sorry to change the subject.
I've said it before and will say again the shaggy/scooby/velma love triangle is starting to get really annoying. Velma and Scooby aren't being fair about it at all. Velma should be a more understanding girlfriend and realize not all of shaggy's time should revolve around her while Scooby should understand Shaggy has the right to date whoever he wants and Velma had a point that is ridiculous to choose a dog over a real girl. And even though most of the time Velma and scooby are arguing and are jealous of each other they pretty much gang up on Shaggy to choose one of them over the other at the same time. But I thought what he did by distracting them at the end was really funny.
