Actually the name Hercules is the romanized version of his true name Heracles because of Hera the wife of Zeus and queen of the gods as a attempt to gain favor from the gods but it came off as an insult to Hera.
4:25 Hey that ship in the background is the SS Rotterdam/Rembrandt! (now a museum ship in the Netherlands)...random note but still very cool! (also one of the last true ocean liners left)

I know your busy reviewing Arnold movies, but can I have one request for a movie review? I really wanted you to do the Jaws movies if you can. It's one of my favorite movies to watch. Thanks!!
There’s Elysium where, heroes and their families, also the righteous people chosen by the gods, and people who made extraordinary things, go and they have the chance to reincarnate by swimming the river Lethe and forget their earthly lives. This realm can only be accessed through Hades (the underworld realm) and it’s ruled by Zeus’s son: Rhadamanthus (in some stories he is actually the right hand of Elysium’s ruler, Cronus).
Not really. Hades isn't Hell; it's not a punishment, it's a giant waiting room before reincarnation. And not everyone goes there anyway, there are a couple of other options. You have to seriously impress the gods or really piss them off but still, options.
@Juni Post Not really. The Underworld was not suffering, misery, torment or sorrow, that was Tartarus. You had to really push it to get that. The Underworld was mostly boredom. And it wasn't for all eternity. After sufficient time moping in the Plain of Asphodel you reached the river Lethe and drank from it. That caused you to forget your previous life and be reincarnated to have another go at being awesome enough to earn Elysium.
On a scale of 1 to 5, this movie has it's...charm...and a weird type of a plot to follow. The Women are, for the most part, very beautiful, and, being that this is Arnold Schwarzenegger's first movie, he really didn't do a bad job. In fact-I think he did quite good, all things considered. Funny thing, the original title was supposed to be 'Hercules Goes Bananas'. I guess they decided the film needed to take itself a bit more seriously (lol)!
I saw this on Netflix and it had Arnie do Hercules. This dub thing makes sense for actors like Lou Ferrigno... because he’s deaf. His Hercules movies also featured his own voice. Although The Sinbad film he was in had some guy dubbing him.

Hearing Arnold's dubbed voice always makes me chuckle. Especially when he gets all elegant.
No even sure why its dubbed. Watched this movie ages ago and he wasnt dubbed
