This video breaks it down perfectly. So many guys talk about the same thing but without the visual aid it's hard to comprehend. I learned alot from this.
This was GREAT!. The only thing I would like to say is that this seemed to be more hill country oriented. I would like to see one that is more flat non hill areas also. This is more of the type of terrain in the area I hunt. Thanks for everything you guys do!
Something I struggle with is how to set up on on deer that are already set up to protect themselves from me. I spent many years setting up on winds to protect myself not thinking that it was disadvantaged for deer and any mature buck wouldn’t be there in that wind anyway.
Thats ignorant... the bucks didnt get big because they had good genetics they got big because they stayed alive. #1 factor for big deer is age. A 200" buck may not have good breeding potential which means his offspring could end up being a 120" scrub buck.
Charles, I am not sure if Huntwise allows you the ability to copy waypoint coordinates, but both OnX and Cal Topo do. In OnX, all you have to do is touch one of your waypoints, a box pops up, and there’s a “Copy” in red characters beside the Lat/Long coordinates. Touch copy, then switch to the Cal Topo app, click search, the long touch in the search bar and click paste , click find, and the X in the middle of the screen will be on the spot. Careful though, don’t move the screen or the X will lose its spot. Click + to add a waypoint and it will be in the exact same spot as it was in OnX. Unfortunately you won’t be able to transfer tracks and lines, but yes to waypoints. Hopefully that works in huntwise. Good luck.
This was eye opening for me. Awesome job 💪👍

Awesome vid, jacob definitely knows his stuff
This was awesome. Thanks for sharing!
I just have a suggestion. Next edition should be access and setup on the terrain features covered in this video. Great job!
Mind freaking blown
I want to see a show with Dan telling his craziest stories and Josh laughing.
Great information. Thanks Jacob. This was most definately a master class. I need to go my game with marking human access better on my on x.

Can you share the link for the LiDar mapping site. I looked for this and got too many useless sites. thank you very much
When you were talking about genetics and the micro area that let the bucks get old in a pressured area. About how big was that micro area?

Emagine if jacob was in the military, he would be special forces in no time
The 100$ a year for that mapping software for desktop and advanced features is well worth it.
what software is that?
Dot tot dot...dot
This was great. Seems like Onx is the way to go, does anyone have any suggestions of transferring data from a different app like huntwise?
