I love Marissa Nadler.. she is my motivation when I paint.. she really takes me into a world where I can imagine and create into scene of paint.. where other's eye can see.. Here from Needle Drop and I was thinking this album sounds like a cleaner version of Chelsea Wolfe with the folk elements and the grimness of black metal. Then I googled her and find that she did an album with Xasthur.

Her best album....she is so talented and unique...amazing songs and production. "Hungry is the ghost" is an instant classic.
I saw her open for Ghost last night in Denver. She was fantastic and kept the audience enthralled!

Marissa came years before Chelsea. If anything, Chelsea sounds like her and not the other way around.
