This is me. Overdressed when I’m out with people except for a movie and the gym. I like to dress my age and look good. Here is the thing. I don’t dress up in a suit or sport coat unless I’m out in town on a special occasion, but I’ll wear dress tennis shoes, dark jeans, polo, and a nice watch.

I don’t believe in the concept of being overdressed. If someone thinks you’re overdressed, they’re just projecting their own insecurities onto you or making a weird comparison. Why can’t you dress nice to a friends party? A wedding or birthday where you’re taking the shine away from the person of honor is one thing, but I could not care less what someone wears on a daily basis. I dress for me, I don’t compare myself to everyone else in the room to make sure nobody has more drip than me 😂 live and let live
Exactly all my friends in middle school would literally make fun of me for wearing jeans to things like movies and restaurants. In reality they made fun of it because they were insecure because there parents didn’t push dressing nicer on them. So they would always show up to things in gym shorts for any occasion and that’s just not the way to do things.

If you’re a gym guy that likes to go out with the boys or to local bars, coffee shops or whatever, get you a hoodie or sweater with sweats, or warm shorts, some decent sneakers, and a bomber jacket or any type of jacket.
Play with the colors so that the top matches with your shoes, or the pants can match with the top, and the jacket can be black or any other color, therefore you got an outfit for both occasions at any given time.
Mixing and matching with does it honestly.
To be fair, this is 100% me and I would never want to change that. Being even remotely close to underdressed fills me with immense discomfort in my own skin.
