I am so pleased that I found your video. A few years ago I bought a garnet bracelet which I thought was the most gorgeous thing I had seen. It was the same design as this, had 2 safety clasps but fell off my wrist the very first time I wore it, gone forever, never found it, no one handed it in (not surprising, brand new, garnet and gold, absolutely sparklingly beautiful..and it was Christmas week). Thrilled that I can now follow your video and remake my own to nearly exact pattern. over the moon and thank you so so very much xx
I am new to beading and I'm hooked! There are alot of tutorials but I prefer yours most. You explain and show very well. Thank you so much! Beautiful pieces every time!
Really pretty. The 3rd length of RAW really adds substance to the design. With it, there's space for the light to shine through the crystals on the top. Without the 3rd length, the more common way of making a RAW bracelet, it sits against the skin too closely leaving very little space for light to enhance the crystals. Anxious to give this design a try. Hope I have enough of the correct size of crystals. TFS!
Absolutely stunning!! I love how you added the RAW row on the underside to make the crystals pop up. I am all about the sparkle and this piece really does deliver😀 Thank you so much for sharing your talent!!
I love this embellished RAW. It was the first off-loom project I learned 20 years ago, though we use 4mm bicones instead of the 2mm. The seed beads on the bottom is a great addition. Can’t wait to make these in all the colors of crystal I have.
I love the bracelet and I love how fast you can speak, the rhythm is so great, I love to listen to it! :) I have a big part of my beading-knowledge from you!!!
Thank you for breaking everything down for us super beginners. I truly appreciate it. I'm just learning about different beads, needle sizing and why, of thread, kinds of stitches? etc.
Allie, I've learned so much from you. Not only what bead goes where but how to bring together all the elements neatly so they're pleasing to the eye. I hope to someday design something myself.
I love this bracelet and I really want to make it! I'm a beginner and you have taught me so much. So glad I came across this design! I am making bracelets for Christmas this year for family members, I am using 3mm bicones instead of 2mm and they work perfectly. Thanks for sharing the pattern and your tutorial!
Dear Ally, I love this design - especially that clasp!! I've been making various versions of my own design of this type of bracelet for some years now - I absolutely love wide RAW bracelets - up to 7 rows wide! But instead of changing thread I always start with more than twice the length of thread I think I'll need (because RAW is thread-thirsty), but I leave half of it as a tail at the very start - for both the RAW and for the embellishments - so that whenever I run out I can finish off with a few solid knots, then start working with the 'tail' thread, picking up back at the start of the piece. (Adding thread isn't difficult, but it takes a little longer, and blocks the beads with thread, often making it difficult to pull the needle thread) - especially as I always stitch my embellishment beads on twice which makes for a very solid bracelet and gives a substantial feel to the piece. I hope I've explained my method thoroughly enough! Happy Beading, and thank you for sharing all your wonderful designs!
@@alliebuchman10 I am assuming the 11/0 seed beads you are using are about 2.1 or 2.2 mm in size. Am I misunderstanding your reply.? If I were to use 3-4 4mm beads per side, I have literally doubled the size of the bracelet. Could be fantastic twice the size.
Made this as my first beaded project yesterday, its very pretty. Although I did use bigger beads, I used 6/0 instead of what you used, it turned out a bit thicker but its very nice!! Thank you for the detailed tutorial!!!

Gorgeous! 😍 thanks so much for this great design! Any chance this stitch will allow for a curve? Would love to make a necklace out of it. But if not, I'd still be thrilled to wear it as a choker!
It could be done but will need changes to the size of seed beads used on one side to make it curve. That also may mean some changes to the design as a whole.
Allie - I love this RAW on the back of the RAW but I’m finding it hard to follow along because it’s all silver. Do you have a video with other colored beads of how to make the RAW boxes on the back? If not would please do a video just for that step with colored beads? I would appreciate it so much. Thanks again for taking the time to make these tutorials. I wouldn’t be able to bead without them. Also one question - we have 2 rows of RAW boxes on front. But it looks like there is only one box for every 2 on the back or am I missing something? Thanks

I wish there had been a contrasting crystal bicone or contrasting seed beads on the bottom. It is pretty difficult to see, like an optical illusion, even on the big TV...
I always have a problem with length. In your video you said 32 to 40 boxes depending on wrist size. If I were making for a 7in wrist how many boxes would I make? 40?
When adding the second row, how do you determine at what point to add the "four beads" to continue on. Is it right AFTER going through the bottom two THEN we add the next four beads OR do we continue on through the two side beads then the two top beads and then add the next four coming around? Seems like you can do it either or both ways. I tried this pattern using Miyuki 11-643A and they seem to be more cylindrical then the ones you used. They did not lay well or hold a squared shape.
I also discovered this. There is a little hole where all the squares join. If you can see thread crossing through them, you're doing it wrong. I found that I hadn't gone around the square far enough when that happened.

Hi!
I love your videos.
Was wondering if I could use 4mm bicones instead of 2mm bicones for this design?
It would change the number of seed beads but try it and see how it looks, then tweak it. That's how the design process works, even for us!
Can you do this bracelet with just 1 row instead of the 2?
Kan ik deze achterkant ook bij een armband maken die wat breder is.
Beautiful bracelet. Please use different colored beads for each step so we can follow, especially on the back of the bracelet. Also maybe use a different colored pad from the bead color. Also move closer to the camera for more magnification fir us old folks.
Thank you, I will.
Oh I love this. But I have 3 mm bicones do you think I can use them instead of the 2 mm?
you will have to adjust the rest of your bead sizing as well most likely, but you can make it work!
Could fire polish be used in place of the crystal bicones?
I would think soo!! You might just have to adapt the pattern a little bit depending on what size firepolish beads your using 😊
Yes don't see problem with that. MOST of the time you can get away with using anything that is the same size. In that case, gemstone 2mm rounds or pearls could work too.
With 4mm beads just make sure to expand your RAW box to have 3 beads along the sides
@@alliebuchman10 would I have to expand the RAW box to use 3mm bicones?
@@Janethedream Yes you would need to expand by 1 on each side. So instead of 8 - 11/0 seed beads you would use 12
Can you use 3mm crystals
Hi Christine, you probably can, but you will need to adjust your seed beads to fit them. Work a one inch test piece and see how it looks.
Tooooooop 👍🇩🇿
If we do 4 rows of right angle weave, how would we finish the base, how would we be adding at the base?
Hello! You should end up with 2 right angle weave rows in the back/base of the bracelet if you do 4 rows.
@@Potomacbeadco yeah I figured that out. Thanks
