Hi Aluxers, on this episode of Industry Wednesdays we're looking at the Alcohol Industry! Which industry would you like to see us cover next week? What we've covered so far: ua-cam.com/video/zdbM4NSvL30/v-deo.html Most Expensive Beers: ua-cam.com/video/Ie4M6irLOmU/v-deo.html Tobacco Industry: ua-cam.com/video/zdbM4NSvL30/v-deo.html Big Pharma: ua-cam.com/video/RNskp_MQTkA/v-deo.html Telecom Industry: ua-cam.com/video/pPqjvus2ZEc/v-deo.html
I think this video deviated too much from its title, focusing on health issues and other irrelevant info related to alcohol itself. (Like number 8!?) I wish it would've been more focused on the actual industry and business of alcohol like the title suggested. Kind of disappointed. I was actually interested on the topic.
Alux.com I think regulating alcohol advertising would be fine but trying to regulate alcohol has already proved disasters. Prohibition did not work and will never work again get over it
Dear Alux team, You are doing a great job. ONE SUGGESTION- it would be nice to include all the points mentioned in the video in a bulleted list in the video description. That way we can also keep a copy these valuable nuggets.
Another great video, thank you Alux! For the next one, if I may, I would suggest the betting/gambling industry, as it's a huge and a very in-demand one.
Is it still fair to call it a Belgian Brazilian company when they had to merge to be ahead of SAB (South African Breweries) which was 2nd largest. The purchase of SAB only happened because of a failed Heineken takeover by SAB. Was nearly called SABinBEV during negotiations.
...you forgot to mention that the human body produces several ounces of alcohol per day as a biological process. The adrenaline glands 'trigger' the body's 'Fight or Flight' mechanism with it. Should a person be sedentary the excess is converted to sugar and fat is stored ...hence the problem with overeating starches (that ferment in time) ...therefore, the 'matured' person should cycle food over a 48 hour (ideally: 72 hour) method. The human body is very efficient and can resist 'auto-degradation' for years of a 24 hour schedule.
I really wish people used marijuana more and didn't get stuck on drinking so much, I think in moderation its okay but people drink and drive, they fight with people, over dose and just act terribly. If you have any of these experiences you should never drink ever again and cut it out of your life entirely. I never drive even after like one beer, I arrange for a driver its not a big deal. (and you don't need to be a billionaire to ask a friend to DD)
I know there are several countries around the world that have implmented safe and responsbile marijuana use for medical and recreational reasons and with 5,000 years of research, including the most advanced techniques in the USA and Israel it has been determined that marijuana use is safer than most substances and is considerably safer than alcohol. there are 0 medical recorded deaths from cannabis in all of human history, cannibinoids do not interfere with parts of the brain that regulate breathing or heart rate.
I most definitely do think that the government's should regulate the alcohol industry more. People are addicted to this alcohol. And it ruins lives. Not everyone that uses it but some. It's just not a good idea. So with some control it would be less used.
Why do you propagate government regulation in alcohol? It was already tested in the us and failed big time. Free enterprises and healthy economics do not need government regulations.
Depends on the socio-economic situation prevailing in different geographies. In India Tobacco and Alcohol industry is well regulated. States such has Gujarat has prohibited alcohol since 60 yrs. While historically the crime rate was generally low, prohibition boosted the safety. While another state Bihar, recently prohibited alcohol, its crime rate is improving and also moderately improving family savings, good for its people. I am a teetotaller and non smoker, never sipped a drink yet party well, cope with stress much better than others and have a healthy lifestyle. Save a lot in Insurance too!!!! Not to mention people (read girls) are more interested in you and respect you a lot.
alcohol consumption is oneselfs responsibilty just like consumption of any toxic product like sugar, the government shouldnt get involved in peoples lifes. .
For regulation, in my opinion, society should control drunkenness, not alcohol. The product isn’t the problem, it is those who lack self control that are the problem.
I have no idea what it is actually thinks non-alcoholic beer is ever going to get that high. Even worldwide there are not that many people who are stupid enough to even help you relax. And even if they do manage to sell a few bottles to someone curious about the substance do not expect to get repeat buyers like you do on regular alcohol. This crap is just a curiosity and anyone touting that it's going to be its own industry is delusional
These are just common facts not exactly about the industry !! All your videos about industry are the same, they have more of common facts and less of industry inside facts... In you could just stick to business facts that'd be great !

Why alcohol is not permissible in Islam????
For regulation, in my opinion, society should control drunkenness, not alcohol. The product isn’t the problem, it is those who lack self control that are the problem.
The product is directly responsible for causing the lack of self control by lowering inhibitions
