As a doctor and psychiatrist myself, I have always intensely hated Drew Pinsky. He’s been extremely exploitative of the people in pain he was supposed to help (“celebrity rehab”) and he has very skewed ethics. Also he is not a psychiatrist, he’s an internist.
He's always seemed super glib in his medical response to complex issues. Like addiction. Which makes sense since Conservatives are incapable of nuanced thinking.
Many from his "rehab show" didn't survive.

My sister is an election official in a small Midwestern city that has switched to paper ballots. It has become such a disaster. They don't have the certified personnel to count the ballots. There is no way our entire country can function without computers.
It's easy use a computer to do the basic count of paper ballots then you can always hand count especially if the count is close.
There are parts of the country, mostly in red states, that have direct to computer voting at polling stations. I think it was by 2019 they were required to have a paper ticker tape print out for auditing. In Shasta California ballots are hand counted. A special election took about 2 days, the 2024 primary around 3 days, general election expected to be a week. It will be verified by machine.
As i recall about 1/4 of Georgia had direct to computer voting and decided to standardize equipment statewide, effective with the 2020 election. Had direct to computer without a paper trail been inplace, it would been impossible to conduct the statewide audit.

So the plan is to stop as many people from voting as necessary!!! Votes are voted on paper and counted by a machine!! Period in most states.

Paper ballots, hand counted and stop counting at 12am and call the election. These people are bonkers.
So these people don't think that people who are oversea, in the military, handicapped, seniors, people who have to work 12 hour shifts like nurses or fire fighters or who cannot get to the voting site without a 3 hour bus ride don't have the right to be counted. Don't think people past a the first 10,000 or so deserve to be counted. There waa a county that tried to count votes. It took 12 hours, by multiple set of counters, they counted less than 12,000 votes and the votes was different by each set of counters. They decided that it was not going to work.

I remember as covid started to emerge in other countries, drew said there was nothing to worry about and to go out and enjoy life. Then, he changed his tune when cases started to sky rocket, apologized, and said "fauci is our north star", and "listen to the cdc". He then learned from corolla and tom segura, that grifting was far more lucrative than informing, and the guy completely fell off.
I used to respect Drew until his Covid denouncement in the early days. For anyone with scientific training to make such an irresponsible and dangerous (deadly as it turned out) proclamation with no evidence backing his cavalier attitude really set back the effort to fight Covid. Arrogant.

He must be so proud to be the “inventor” of a pillow case stuffed with chopped up discarded foam chips. These types of pillows have been around since the 1970’s. They were commonly used in hospitals because they could be washed in the laundries. Not very comfortable but super cheap back then, they were like $3.00 ea. He sells them for $30.

My son worked for Bed, Bath & Beyond before Lindell got into politics and was advertising his pillows. He told us not to buy them because they were the most returned pillow they sold. Dr Drew was my boss when I worked at a psych hospital in Pasadena Ca in 2000. He was considered an authority on medical issues of addiction. People came from far away to hear his lectures at Las Encinas Hospital but he got bitten by the " Hollywood bug" and went off the rails with greed and self-importance. He could have done so much great work to help addicts and alcoholics but at some point, he became too preoccupied with celebrities. He went for himself and became irrelevant. He lost his way. Too bad. We all miss the great educator he used to be.

Absolutely. When you have an addictive nature it doesn't have to be drugs you're addicted to. It is anything. You do everything to the extreme. Sometimes you benefit but sometimes you don't. You learn to recognize when you are going overboard. I know that because that is me. I, too, got into drugs, but after that There is still a need to do other things to excess. I've been aware of that for many years. But the pillow guy has that addictive nature to the extreme. He will end up on the streets and eating out of a garbage can because he can't control it and doesn't want to.

I saw/heard the collapse of Dr Drew when I used to listen to Adam Carolla's podcast. It seems he's an incredible narcissist who used to be the cool doctor that had the ear of the youth and couldn't handle when young people stopped listening to him and even having the unmitigated gall to criticize him. The voting machines in Peoria, IL got so old that parts aren't available anymore. The County is now printing each ballot as you step up to vote; then the voter puts their ballot into the scanner by themselves. All the ballots are marked by filling in a small box, easily re-countable by machine or by hand.
People don't understand how complex the voting process is, and that every county might have dozens of different variations of ballots within that county to deal with the non-overlapping borders of state assembly and senate districts, city and county supervisor districts, city council districts, library boards, park and rec boards, water districts, school districts, county proposals that everybody in the county can vote on, and city measures that only city residents can vote on, as well as national and state federal offices. My state has 58 counties and each county has election officials overseeing the process of verifying voters and counting the votes. People who don't understand the process grossly underestimate how difficult it would be to rig an election, how many people would have to be involved in the process, and how unlikely it would be that the rigging could occur without leaving any evidence or without any of the many participants providing credible testimony about what was done. A lot of people are suspicious of things that they don't understand or of things that "don't make sense" to them, and these people are easy prey for nutcases or swindlers peddling conspiracy theories.

I once slept in a cabin and had the worst night's sleep. In the morning, I took all the sheets off the bed to be cleaned, and I saw that the pillow was a My Pillow. So I can say from personal and unbiased experience that My Pillow pillows are supremely uncomfortable. Maybe THAT's why your company is failing.

Listen, before any of this happened, I bought a couple of those my pillows for me and the family member and they were the worst pillows I have ever bought in my life. My dog usually pisses on all my pillows my best pillows, but he wouldn’t even even piss on this pillow it was beneath him.
