Agree, Alzheimer's sucks. My dad had it. It's so hard to watch, to navigate. It taught me to be very zen, very in the moment. Treasure the feel-good experiences you continue to have with your dad. Thanks for the daily vlogmas. ❤
I am so so sorry about your dad - I had the same journey with my dear mother. I totally cherished the better days. As a music teacher I’m sure you know about the special connection of music in the brain, but I wanted to share that I made my mom a play list of her favorite music and played it for her every day of her Alzheimer’s journey. She remembered songs on days when she didn’t remember most things. You, your dad, and your whole family are in my prayers.
Love you Justine. My dad has Alzheimer’s too, but he is 94. I always say you lose them before you lose them because he is not the husband, father, grandfather we all knew and loved. He is in a memory care unit and his life has been reduced to a twin bed, a nightstand and a rod in a closet. Hugs to you.
Music is the best ~ somewhere in the brain they remember music and makes them so happy. He’s just a new & different person now. It’s harder on us. Hugs & thank you for your Vlogmas
You have been my inspiration for cozy comfort throws. I am working on #10! Using my stash of sock yarn . its very therapeutic. I love your blog and the skein scoop blog. They are desert for me. I save them for last!
Emma's yarn....would you double it with white or light gray? Just wondering. Yes, music is amazing...somewhere and somehow our loved ones remember. So look forward to your vlogmas.
Justine, you are a rock star! Everett is a doll too. Thank you for sharing.

I lost my Mom to Alzheimer’s- it’s so hard. So many layers of sadness. Keeping you in my thoughts.

I would double it with ivory or like a little darker than that of cream
@@Jlsjoberg Good idea, thank you. I started with white and I thought the double looked dirty.
Alzeheimer’s is an awful disease. I lost my mom in 2016 and one of my best friends to early onset this year. ❤️
I am so sorry! ❤
